What to do with new EndGame crafting?

So far I'm not seeing anything for Crafting end-game, unless I'm looking in the wrong area. All I see is:
-An unattractive DoW/M i160 set and a renamed (wtf same exact thing?) i180 set, so nobody will want to buy it for neither the stats nor glamour imo.
-Minions? I heard there is a few craftable minions, but I'm not into collecting those so idc really.
-Furniture? Same deal as minions, I don't really care for it quite yet but I don't know what it looks like.
-Red Scrip set that will help you out a lot with crafting your great big list of seemingly useless items (because you can't HQ Minions/Furniture anyways so they are super easy peasy crafts you don't need pimped out gear for)

Gatherers seem to be in the same boat. Gathering all these end-game items for what exactly? To fuel this race for who can craft the highest level gaudy-looking hunk of garbage?
And this Red Scrip cap is STUPID AS FUCK. 450 per week, that's 5 tokens. You know how many you need for the equipment? You know how many you need for those books of whatever they are in the shop? You need hundreds of the damn things! Why are they limiting you to 5 tokens a week?!

Please give me a reason to continue my crafting/gathering. The only thing that slightly piques my interest is having the sexy new equipment sets, but I don't think that's even enough for me to want to bother at 450 scrips per week + no use for the sets.

There isn't a reason to carry on. The AF set and new tools are fundamentally useless. Everything is terrible.

This is only temporarily possible. It will wither away when all of the crafters and gatherers, who are doing exactly what you are, fully gear up. All materials on the market right now, all synths, are for crafters and gatherers to gear up.

But there's nothing to make when you reach that goal but other gear for other crafters. Do you see the end, yet? It's not far off.

Then you can probably play with market with that kind of gil you earned untill now. There will be always something to buy. You can become market maker.

Thats only normal, we're selling right now because we can, also we level crafts because we enjoy crafting and/or want to be self-sufficient. If the market dies because every player on the server has the equipment, while there is still no patch then oh well SE delayed the patch by a huge amount then.

Also why did battle classes farm FCoB for gear in 2.5? They could already beat the hardest content with their current one.

You want to know for what you're gearing? Nah, i would say for next content.
It's like I could ask myself why i got Furier-stuff and Lucis about 1 month before expansion, when the max price for ***-items was about 2-4k, just to reach lvl 55/58 in HW and "throw" it all away.

Ppl should realize that when they got their first crafting gear complete it may not be long until next patch (with maybe new recipes, risen cap and maybe something with new relic?).
That's what your really working for, as all which is there now can be crafted with i150+170/180 mainhand(+food) i think.
Then it will be more easy (and useful) to obtain the gear and the market price for mats will drop and the gear slowly becomes available at market place, too.

I'll craft mostly the same stuff i did already last week and make money, it's still the same "fun".

Perhaps somebody should explain me what the actual "fun" at crafting/gathering was before HW? Was it all about DoW/M-gear, Kirimu-Coat and potions? Besides that, was there anything else which is now missing?

Ok, so what did you do/craft until yesterday and why can't you still do it?

Would be new to me that a minor patch (like 3.05) makes everything beside toplvl-crafts irrelevant.

When new content arrives, I expect to be able to do that content. (otherwise what's the point in releasing it?)

I want to be able to craft 2 star items, as many as I damn well please for the sake of the enjoyment of crafting high difficulty items. Square have taken the CRAFT out of Crafting and replaced it with WAIT as it's just a waiting game now. I get to craft 2 high difficulty recipes a week and then my enjoyment is suddenly gone because other 3.0 recipes are too easy.

There is no way to defend this system if you know it's in and outs. I assume most people who do just that are simply uninformed.
