dev1151 Changes in HP/MP recovery

The following changes have been made to passive mode HP and MP recovery:
Players will not automatically recover HP and MP when incurring enmity.
HP and MP will automatically recover only while the player is stationary, regardless of whether or not he/she is engaged in battle. The amount of HP and MP recovered will increase based on the amount of time a player remains stationary.
The recovery amount will reset under the following conditions:
The player is attacked
The player moves or performs an action


i'm not too much a fan of the having to stand still to recover my health, i didn't know it destroyed game balance enough to change it. Not really wanting to go back to XI's style

I'm not sure about the wording of this, but does incurring enmity mean you have ANY enmity? Or does it mean you are directly being targeted and attacked by the enemy?

Spells (healing spells in particular) incur a large amount of enmity, and in some battles, enmity levels as a DoM are dangerously high, does that mean for full battles we will not be able to recover mp? (this being especially true when playing solo)

Other major concern:
If we must recover mp by staying stationary, this will hold up the entire party after every single party, which is both a bother and also will hurt chances of chaining and linking enemy groups for the experience point bonuses.

Not to mention, speed runs of the instanced raids will become much more difficult in that you will run out of mp simply running from enemies and healing the tank, leading to the party's being wiped, and also waiting for mp recovery by being stationary will hurt your time in the instance. It is often hard enough to get to Batraal with enough time to finish him without wiping.

Please clear this up if I am mistaken or being too paranoid.

The system is basically the same as it is now you have to stand still to get mp back or run and get it extremely slow......So ill ask what are you complaining about?

Kinda prefer the way that it is now, the closer they bring it to the FFXI in this regard the worse ;( XI had brutal resting times back in the day

Wow its like you didn't actually read my post, because the answer to your question is in my post. And you didn't address /any/ of my concerns lol. <_<

And you're wrong by the way. "run and get it extremely slow" has changed to "run and not get any mp at all" I don't know if you've been playing as a mage, but that is kind of a big difference.
