Alex Savage really harder?

So I know it's early, but I've seen quite a few groups who have already cleared A1, and even the ones who haven't, are getting good progress on it... (I'm waiting on static to try it out)

Can anyone say if it's harder than FCoB Turn 10 for example?

From what I've heard, the mechanics is are really simple, and you just have to get high DPS and heal well.

Ofc getting that DPS is gonna be hard for most groups, but it still seems kinda simple on the mechanics, and I hope A2-A4 have some more new mechanics that makes it a little more interesting and new.

The first turns have always been pretty easy, the third and fourth should throw a spanner in the works for most groups. Just keep in mind that a lot of raid teams haven't made it past A1's trash yet.

Should only be A1 being a little easier though... Otherwise they "waste" 2 floors that they could make a challenge.

If Faust is killed just the same way he is in normal, he shouldn't be a problem, because it's basically just like DPSing a striking dummy

i remember Coils turn 1 and 2 being pretty easy once the strategy was down. So i dont think this is a big deal.

At least, they required "strategy".
And for Turn 2, even a clever, unexpected, acknowledged by the Dev Team, strategy :p

I've already seen parses where all 4 dps were hitting 1,000-1,200 on Faust and they hit enrage.

We have no word of Floors 2/3/4, but i expect (or atleast hope) they will be significantly harder in our current gear levels.

Lots of groups are struggling on Faust, so yes its harder.

Lowest DPS parse I've seen in 6200 but most are in the 6500 range to beat him. (STR tanks and DPSing healers)

Compare it to T10 for example, you at least needed some strategy for beating it, and since you didn't have a normal version of the raid, you had to experience it before knowing how everything works.

I know it's a huge DPS check, and I'm not expecting my group to beat it very fast, but that's just DPS... like I said, Faust is like a striking dummy, and if you go through everyone's rotations and as you gain some gear this week/next week, it shouldn't be too big of a problem.

If A2 is just a bigger DPS check, then there is nothing hard when it comes to strategy, just playing your job well.

That's the point I'm trying to make. It shouldn't become easy when players start to get some better gear. It should still be a challenge because of the mechanics, and it's simply a little more forgiving on your DPS.

So a dps check means it's harder? To me that's only makes it artificially difficult.
