My good friend just bought the Heavensward bundled with the original game on the PSN for his PS4. Unfortunately when he goes to try and play the game (sans expansion) it loads to a screen that reads:
"The service is currently unavailable due to maintenance.
Please try again at a later time.
*Please restart the client for FINAL FANTASY XIV: A Realm Reborn."
Is anyone else seeing this issue? Does it mean he has to wait for the expansion to launch just to be able to play the game at all?
(He has an SEN account made and linked to his PSN account. Because of how the PSN edition works he cannot just drop a code in on his PC and move the account along.)

Any issues getting into PSN and such? A lot of chatter about people having login issues or access to content the last several days. Might be a PSN specific problem?
Otherwise there could be something odd with the registration...did he get two separate codes (one for ARR, one for HW), or was it one code for everything? -

It says right on the site that people buying that particular bundle will have no access until the 23rd.
Besides, nobody can play HW yet so why was your friend thinking he/she could already? -
