egi where art thou?

dear SE , being possed by bahamut is cool and all and some of the skills look nice, i mean tridisaster + bane + tribind = fun, ahk morn looks awesome. but no new egis seems to have upset the smn community. and i think giving us a recycled carbuncle skin when we where told we where getting new egis back in 2.2 is just a kick in the 'carbuncles'. at least consider new skins/animations for each summon using ramuh leviathan and shiva

so

melee skins = ifrit and leviathan
tank skins = titan and shiva
ranged skins = garuda and ramuh

they can all have the same abilities but different animations.

Indeed, they pretty much just said SMN won't be summoning any new egis because SE can't think up ways to make them useful (hint: the forums are FULL of suggestions of way to rework the egis to make them all useful). The cosmetics system they mentioned sounds like something in the far future as well which isn't going to mean much to us now when we were previously told we WERE getting new egis. Sigh.

The new skills look great but this news was just disappointing.

Yea, I'm most likely rerolling Astro @ launch. Not even sure why we post ideas in the forums any more....

Stop being so doom and gloom, I'd rather my class function rather than having it all based on AI performance which simply will always be inferior or micromanagement hell.

I just hope they make all egi skills interchangeable so cosmetically I can use my titan "Chicken Nugget" egi in raids.

This is nice actually. Now we can also have Odin, Phoenix, Bahamut, Bismark and Ravana Egis too and without creating major imbalacings or making half of our older skill set useless. Just as long as SE don't go pushing Odin egi on Mog Station it is fine. Just hope it is not far off the future like Fc Primal Summoning.

That Titan egi auto-attack will easily become a ice spike for Shiva egi.

SE didn't promise new egis, they said it was a probably or if when level capped was raised. I'm getting pretty mad at the forums now just people man . I'm going to stay away

Taking into account all these changes to smn, smn having more atks that actually look/feel powerful, on top of overall changes to spell/skill speed...id say it'd be pretty nice to be a smn in 3.0. I mean..u get to akh morn....U GET TO AKH MORN. That's more than just nice.

Odin-Egi that gets on a little Sleipnir-Egi when you mount up!

Now i think of it, the Summoner new ability with the Bahamut ether thingy seems like what certain lady did in Akh Afah Amphitheatre... If you take that into account, its pretty awesome. I wonder if they will add some appearance changes during the buff.

Edit: Did i mention you take over THE POWERS OF BAHAMUT?! HOW IS THAT NOT AWESOME!?

Makes no sense for anyone who hasn't beaten Bahamut, that's for sure.
