How do I move the NPC dungeon chat box?

How do I move or even resize that box? There does not appear to be anything in the HUD layout in that area and I cant drag to move it like the normal NPC dialog box.

There is no way to move/resize/remove these chat boxes. I wish there was! Good King moogle fight is a nightmare because of these chat boxes > _ < !!!

Dam, that is disappointing. You can move every other UI element. How did this get missed?

The position of those overhead chat boxes is based on where the character speaking is, so they only move as you move in relation to the NPC. And yeah, that can be annoying at times.

There are actually quite a few UI elements we can't move, though. Most of them show up in the center of the screen. (I'm particularly bothered by the blue notification window that tells us what result we got from crafting/gathering. Particularly while crafting, because it covers part of the crafting window, so when I'm crafting something repeatedly, I either have to do so blindly without checking how many materials I have left, or else I have to wait a couple seconds between each one for that notification to go away.)

There is also the GIANT TEXT for fate joined, quest objective complete, GC delivery complete, garden harvest, and several other things that can't be moved.

Are we talking about the same box? The one I circled in the image never moves as far as I can tell.

Ya forgot about those and like the fate joined text. I think the issue with this text box is that it is a completely filled in box and those have transparency on the text.

lol I cant stand that huge FATE JOINED/QUEST ACCEPTED etc. text and I have been crying about it on the forums forever... still no Dev. responce :(


It's most annoying when I'm minding my own business out in the field, with no intention of doing a FATE and it blocks my view of what ever I'm doing at the time >_< I can see the FATE icons over the mobs, I can see the FATE area on my mini map, I can hear the annoying FATE music (same music since lvl 1), I DON'T need a huge notification covering my screen!

FFXIVs RMT spam is bad enough I don't need this pop-up spam too...
