I missed the free upgrade?

I thought the free ps3 - ps4 transfer was not on time frame so unfortunately I missed it. I was borrowing a ps3 till I got a new console, finally got a ps4 and gave the other console back. So I suppose that would mean I would just have to buy the game again just to be able to play it or can I pay for a transfer? Kinda cruddy if I have to since I have bought it for PC & PS3 let alone if I have to buy it again gonna be a bit disappointed.

Then again I see other websites stating it's free regardless to transfer so no clue, have not hooked it up yet to find out just not finding the option on mog station so confused.

The free upgrade from ps3 to ps4 was extended from the end of last year to April 1 2015. I'm afraid you missed it.

I think you'd have to pay for the game again to play it for PS4, though I'm not sure.

And honestly SE sort of made a big deal about the campaign on the Lodestone, during its 1-year availability they posted about it many times, as well as extending the campaign which was originally slotted to end in December...so while it's unfortunate that you missed it, it's not exactly SE's fault.

Well thanks for clarifying that, the different websites stating this or that was confusing me. Oh well guess that means I have to pay for it yet again ugh.

The offer ended not long ago on the 1st of April it was announced long ago tho. Here is the how to update from PS3 to PS4 guide: http://na.finalfantasyxiv.com/lodest...e/ps4/upgrade/
Now I guess you have to buy the PS4 version and link it to your current account to play it on PS4.

Yeah figured as much since Sadana posted.

I never said it was SE's fault, my computer died, I refuse to use the consoles browser as it's complete junk let and an abomination even if I am patient and was not sure I was going to get a console so soon. Your post was not necessary after Sadana's so no need to be a smartass.
