Looking for English EU RP Server

Hi everybody,

I recently started playing through the free trial & enjoying it so far. As I intend stay longer than the free trial, I would like to pick a server to stay on. I am looking for an English speaking EU RP server. Any help with this would be appreciated.

Balmung has a notable EU population. As for a server that's specifically designated EU and has a large RP population... I'm not aware of any.

Hello! Balmung and Gilgamesh are biggest roleplay servers, Balmung being the most popular. They're both in the US Data Center, Aether. I'm not sure about any other servers - I think Cerberus has a few RP'ers on? Sadly most EU roleplayers are quite scattered.

I can't speak for Gilgy, but I moved to Balmung and haven't regretted it. There are many EU players here, but as it's US based most RP events don't start until 10pm-3am, so very late for us to get to. :( But we're a growing community, and there are some EU-friendly events on occassion, as well as a few predominantly EU Free Companies.
The only problem with Balmung is that it's a legacy server and is restricted, but it usually opens for character creation Tues-Fri GMT mornings (I always notice it open at 10am-12pm). Or you can usually get in 20 minutes before or straight after maintenance.

I just wanted to know that while this seems to be true of most public events, joining an active EU FC should work around this as RP FCs seem to host lots of more private and ad hoc events. And, of course, one could always encourage them to host more public ones that are EU timezone friendly as well. Casual RP in the Ul'Dah tavern seems to happen at all hours (Every single time I go there people are RPing, never seen it dead).
