Speculation -- Traits in 3.0

So I've been having a think on this. For your class, what do you think you'll get for traits? I suspect that the only new actions classes/jobs will get will be the Lv55 and Lv60 job actions, thus we'll likely see more traits than actions. Here are my thoughts for Disciples of Magic:

Conjurer
- Lv52: Enhanced Mind IV -- Increases Mind by 8.
- Lv54: Enhanced Aero -- Increases the duration of Aero and Aero II by 6 seconds.
- Lv56: Enhanced Mind V -- Increases Mind by 10.
- Lv58: Enhanced Medica -- Medica has a 10% chance to cost 50% less mana. Increases the heal-over-time potency of Medica II by 25.
- Lv60: Arise -- Raise has a 10% chance to revive the target with full hp, mp, and tp.

Arcanist
For Arcanist, I would propose one change to their existing lineup:

- Enhanced Intelligence is now Enhanced Insight, and increases Mind in addition to Intelligence.

- Lv52: Enhanced Insight IV -- Increases Intelligence and Mind by 8.
- Lv54: Enhanced Physick -- Physick has a 10% chance to cause the next healing spell cast to critically heal.
- Lv56: Enhanced Insight V -- Increases Intelligence and Mind by 10.
- Lv58: Enhanced Resurrection -- Revived targets have a 10% chance to have a reduced duration on Weakness. Does not apply to Brink of Death.
- Lv60: Aetherdam IV


Thaumaturge
- Lv52: Enhanced Intelligence IV -- Increases Intelligence by 8.
- Lv54: Enhanced Swiftcast -- Swiftcast now applies to your next two spells cast.
- Lv56: Enhanced Intelligence V -- Increases Intelligence by 10.
- Lv58: Rebuke -- Increases the potency of Scathe on targets with 20% hp or less by 100. Scathe incurs a 10 second recast time when cast on targets with 20% hp or less.
- Lv60: Astral Flare / Umbral Freeze -- Gaining or refreshing the effect of Astral Fire or Umbral Ice has a 5% chance to grant Astral Flare or Umbral Freeze. Astral Flare greatly reduces the mana cost and cast time of your Fire spells. Umbral Freeze greatly reduces the cast time and greatly increases the damage of your Blizzard spells.

Following the Trait trend, you get a new Trait every 4 levels not 2. :P

I think the Level 52 Trait for every class will be a Stat Bonus to their Main Stat. So Mind for Conjurer, Strength for Lancer and Pugilist, Vitality for Marauder and Gladiator, Dexterity for Archer and Rogue, and then Intellect for Thaumaturge. I do agree that Arcanist should get Mind and Intellect from their Stat Bonuses, so here's hoping that gets changed.

I think the Level 56 Trait will somehow empower one of our older abilities, I play White Mage and Scholar but the Arcanist Trait will have to be something that benefits the Summoner as well.

For the Arcanist Trait, I imagine something like Empowered Ruin. Increasing the damage Ruin does to an enemy afflicted with your DoTs by 10%. Stacks 3 times.

So, basically with your 3 DoTs on an enemy, Ruin is basically a Second Tier spell. Giving the Summoner higher damage, as well as helping the Scholar who is DPS'ing a lot as well.

For the Conjurer Trait, I like watching a White Mage spam Holy, and I like watching them bring people back from the brink. So I'd go with Enchanced Holy. Every cast of Holy reduces the cast time and MP cost of your next spell by 50%. Stacks twice.

I can see this one working in different ways. Speed running and spamming Holy? The third one is now instant and free, so more damage! But way, the tank is taking heavy damage and Benediction is on cooldown? Look, a free instant Cure II! Or the group is taking damage, look a free Medica!

For the final Trait, at Level 60. I'd imagine it'll empower a new ability we get while leveling. I also figure we'll get 2 new Job Abilties, and 2 new Class Abilities. 54 and 58 for the new Class Abilities and then 55 and 60 for the new Job Abilities. I don't think Scholar and Summoner needs a fourth Aetherflow, so I don't Aetherdam will be it.

Gladiator
lv 52: Enhanced Vitality IV - Increases Vitality by 8.
lv 54: Enhanced Shield Swipe - Increases Enmity generated by Shield Swipe.
lv 56: Enhanced Vitality V - Increases Vitality by 10.
lv 58: Enhanced Bulwark - Extends Bulwark duration to 30 seconds.
lv 60: Enhanced Circle of Scorn - Extends damage over time to 30 seconds.

Thurmaturge

Lv 52: Inferno -- Successful Fire II casts have a 30% chance of granting Meltdown. (Flare-like proc with 200 potency)

Lv 55: Enhanced Freeze -- Now applies [Frostbite] to all targets
[Frostbite] Potency: 50 Duration: 18s (Freeze total potency = 100 > 300)

Lv 60: Magick and Mend III -- Allows 4th stacking of Umbral Ice / Astral Fire.
-- Transpose will now carry over a maximum of 2 stacks.
