This heavy status while on mount...
... Is quite possibly the most annoying design decision in this game. I get it, you get hit on a mount, a slowdown must happen but hey if I unmount or I've literally outrun the thing and the aggro is long gone... 20 seconds of heavy and like 10-15 seconds still ticking away for no reason even if I unmount. You all know what I'm talking about. I really hope 3.0 brings out a better design direction when it comes to mounts because this current one is highly obnoxious.
EDIT - I realize the necessity of a system like this as it gives the world a greater feeling of immersion by making enemies matter in the overworld instead of you just flying by them on a mount like they don't even exist and have zero relevance to anything at all. Therefore I don't suggest there be NO system in place at all such as this, I really just want another kind of system that really gives you a feeling of immersion and danger instead of a "Oops I got heavied... *continues to run until all 20+ guys aggro has worn off... continues until heavy wears off*" Like come on the current system is completely pointless and just looks like SE is trolling us by being annoying.

"Ugh... just ignore the troll and keep running"... troll gets bored and gives up. It REALLY feels the same as just ignoring an internet troll lol.
I want a better feeling of immersion and I can appreciate a system like this if it feels appropriate and makes sense. The current one does not make sense to me.
