I looked to see if there was a better place for this.
Google had no idea what I was talking about.
I am looking for the option to see what others roll on loot. When I need/greed, when the piece drops I get a message along the lines of:
"You rolled greed on "insert item" and got a 58"
THIS OTHER PLAYER rolled greed and receives "item"
I turned something off somewhere and don't know where exactly.
Anyone have an idea?

Should be in the system messages section of the log filters; one of the "Other PC" messages. I thought there was one specifically for loot rolls, but my brain could just be making that up. >_>

In the settings tab for it (if you don't know how to get there despite having seemingly turned it off, it's the gear at the end of your chat tab names, then you click whichever tab you want to change under "Log Filters") it is "Others' Loot Messages" under "Announcements." I don't think party member loot notices are separate from the main setting (also in Announcements) so you should see:
You roll Need on thingie. 42!
Blooblah rolls Need on thingie. 99!
Blah rolls Need on thingie. 50!
Blooblah receives thingie. -

TY all very much. Was buggering me as I was in a WoD the other night and lil puff dropped, I rolled a 97 and couldn't see what anyone else rolled. Two other peeps were lingering about. I figured they were trying to camp me out of the drop. But one had actually rolled a 98 and the other was just waiting to time his roll for better odds I guess. He rolled a 52 and second person won it.
Long story short I could have left after I see he rolled need of 98 and saved myself some mins. -

You can't see anyone's rolls until the loot is awarded, though.

Yeah, you won't know if you lost it or not until everyone's rolled or passed. The rolls don't show as they come, they all pop up at once when it's awarded. You wouldn't have known he rolled a 98 until the last guy rolled and the 98'er won it.

Yes, there is no setting that will allow you to see a roll AS it's being rolled. You will only see them after all players have rolled or passed, and the item drops.
I've speculated from time to time as to why it's set up this way; it'd be SO nice to see who has forgotten to pass or lot (or is deliberately holding back), and whether you're the leading lot or not (if not, might as well leave the instance). One theory I came up with is that it might discourage ninja-lotters.
Suppose you were playing with a group who has decided that if a specific piece drops (say BRD) it will go to the tank, who would have LIKED to have come BRD but came as a tank because the group needed a tank. The BRD piece drops, the tank rolls a 2. Since the other players can see that two, a less scrupulous might be tempted to roll as well for an almost guaranteed win, then run off with the item afterwards.
Technically, they could do the same even with lots hidden, but it's much riskier. If they try it and fail, they will likely be kicked from the group and have no loot to show for it. With the ability to see lots, they are able to bide their time, and wait for the right moment to pounce. -
