Evasion Gear - Where is it?

The game seems to need more evasion gear besides just earrings.

For example, I noticed while working on Pugilist that it has actions that revolve around evasion. Especially since it seems to have weapon skills that require evading an attack to use much like a Gladiator's Phalanx requiring blocks to use. The imbalance that I noticed is that Gladiator has plenty of gear to boost their defense way up, but a Pugilist does not have much gear at all besides earrings to boost their evasion stat.

If there was more evasion gear in the game, then a Pugilist can boost their evasion stat more and evade attacks more often. That way they can use their evasion weapon skills more often like a Gladiator can with Phalanx via blocks.

Pugilist seems poised to be the class that paves the way for "evasion tanking" and to the Ninja job and it should begin by accommodating more gear in the evasion department. Or am I thinking or playing Pugilist totally wrong here? Or is the lack of evasion gear currently in the game not an issue?

Just curious what everyone thinks about this. :confused:

There are many evasion gears. Each piece of clothing has evasion on it, and different type of gears have different evasion value with Lighter material usually outshine Heavier/Metallic Material. Plus some new dungeon gears have +Parry so chances are next patch will have more +Evasion gears.

Indeed. The game is plenty of evasion gear. Just need to look the at gear above secundary effects.Most of primary attributes of equipments are often overlooked even thou they have major impact at defense, mdef and evasion...its just like weapons, where the people only look at attack, ignoring the rest.

There is a misunderstanding here and a desire to state the obvious. I've been playing this game for almost a year and a half now (alpha day one), so I'm aware of where both sections of stats are listed for all gear. I'm also aware of the basic Evasion stat on the primary stat listing for most gear and the plenty of +DEX gear out there listed in the secondary stats. But what I'm referring to is a lack of the +Evasion bonus out there on gear in the secondary stats. The only gear I've found with +Evasion in the secondary stats is earrings. That's it. We have plenty of other gear that has +Acc, +Magic Acc, etc bonuses, but a lack of +Evasion. :)

Do you know why earrings are the only ones with +evasion effect? Because earrings have a really low evasion and SE didn't want to add the +evasion at primary attribute so it woudn't be affected bt HQ...because just imagine that HQ is a percent bonus so bigger the number is bigger the bonus.

There are new Gloves with +Parry, won't be long before they make +Evasion gears.

Its much bigger the chance of weapons having +evasion. The secundary effects usuallu bring what's not native of that kind of gear...like an weapon with evasion or an armor with attack, accuracy or parry.

I have a feeling before long too.

As of right now on my PUG, every gear piece has the highest Evasion I can milk out of it for my optimal rank and it still is eclipsed by other stats. I would expect a tiny bit more Evasion stat gear especially for a class that is so focused on evasion. By the game's design pattern, a PUG with good evasion should be able to evade often enough to use Haymaker I/II or Jarring Strike I/II as often as a GLD can Phalanx (leaving room for balance of course).
