Account keeps getting compromised, would like to merge accounts or change name

I have been changing my password multiple times because of suspensions of 'suspicious activity.' Every 24-48 hours I am not logged in my account is suspended. In-game, my all of my characters keep getting /tells of gil scammers from bots.
I am not sure if I am listed somewhere. The issue is that I am not sure if my ff14 subscribed account is already compromised.

I have a steam account that is linked to a square enix account. I call it a steam-enix account. I have 2 games under it - ff8 and ff7.
I am subscribed under a different square enix account which is not linked to anything. They use the same email and have similar names.

I would totally like to merge my accounts [ preferably to the steam-enix one ] and change the new name to something different.

If that is not possible I would like to at least change the name of my subscribed enix account. Is there any way to do any of these things? With or without the help of a Square Enix employee... Please help.

Please provide more information about your login habits. Do you login from various locations all the time? More or fewer than 2?

Reason I ask is the game will register 2 pc IP addresses without issue, such as home and friend's house. Throw in a 3rd, and it sets off an automated alarm to force a password reset, for your protection. It doesn't realize it is you all 3 times, so if that threshhold is crossed, you get an error and an email.

Real money trade (RMT) is an issue on any popular MMO. all they do is /search for people in the zone and your name will come up. Your account is in no way compromised because you get tells, this is merely their tactic.

If you have a smart phone, I HIGHLY recommend the software token. That will eliminate the need to change your password as long as you use that one-time password. It's free so really there's no reason not to have it. Just make sure you write down the emergency password in a safe place in case your phone breaks or you upgrade. It's a PITA getting the one-time password off your account without it. I don't know if it works on iPhones, but it does on Android. As an added bonus, having the one-time password allows you to set a location as a free teleport location. You can teleport there for free.

Works on iPhones, too. Agree that it is well worth the time and energy to set the one-time password system up for your account.

Just a complementary info: Since you just log from the same PC and this is happening, it's mostly likely that your ISP gives you a new IP everytime you restart the modem. That will count as a 'different' connection/person/attempt.

So they do that reset thing. And having a Token will stop that behavior because they will make the assumption that it is really yourself, as it is linked to your phone.
