You've created a great game but I must comment on your core quest structure. This endless back and forth you seem to like sending us on is annoying as best.

Here is my advise.

When coming up with furture quests. First plan the route the player will take to complete said quest. For this I even mean chains of quests. If it ever involves the player going back to where he has been more than 2 times in a chain of even up to 20 quest dismiss the plan and go back to the drawing board.

Players like progress not only in gear, story and power but in journey. Some of your back tracking is just plain silly and could be done much better

Needless, "Go fetch that item that lies but 10 feet away from my being" are the bane of my existence. I feel as if such scenarios are poor attempts at wit.

What?!?! But who will get sandwiches, cheese, wine, and bread? Who will be brave enough to oil down a man's feet? These aren't things you can trust to any low leveled servant. They must be done by a proud and faithful warrior!

Regardless, I think there's some level of tongue-in-cheek/metadesign going on - the Warrior of Light going through estabilished trials and tropes of the genre. As long as it's done with irony/humor and the dosage is well-balanced, it's not a problem: as I have the feeling that with all the things being advertised for Heavensward, there will be a tighter plot to follow anyway.

I stopped paying attention to the story and quest structure completely when the main story quest text said "Sniff the Chocobo".
