Fatigue or not fatigue?
Just a thought about this system that seems to get people upset. As it is now when you hit fatigue you get less skill points for your job. What if instead of fatigue you had an skill bonus to start out with , then when that ran out (i.e. you hit fatigue) you get normal skill point gains? :D It's all a bit of semantics ,but I've played other mmo's with a system like that where you get an initial bonus to experience but after some time playing it returns to normal experience.
Anyway perhaps by rewording the way fatigue works is all it needs to satisfy those who believe they are being punished by fatigue. When in fact they are being rewarded initially with bonus skill points!

Getting penalized is not the extent of fatigue system. People need to wait until it is fully implemented and they will understand it better. Until then, they are going to piss and moan.

Here's the heart of the issue: The game is penalizing players for playing too much. Despite the fatigue limitation, many people have reached r50 with multiple classes, yet there is still no content awaiting them 6 months later.
IMO, either remove the system completely, or actually have the "bonus points" count towards some other system of character progression that maybe the more hardcore types would be interested in.

As you said there are people with multiple rank 50s in a few months, so therefor the fatigue system is not penalizing players it is rewarding those who cannot play as much.
The fatigue and surplus system are negative in theory only, in practice they are almost negligible barriers.
