A Letter from " That One Guy "

So let's be real here for a second, With the modern development of new large scale MMO's from even Free to play MMO's to Grand MMO's by well know companies. There is basic Functions and Items that SE in FFXIV is lacking for what reason?
Now I don't want to here a million post on they are busy with battle or blady blah. I am not sure about most of you but I want some real answers not "Were getting to it" or "I'll ask".

Why do we not have the following ( Basic Day 1 MMO System / Game play systems )

1. Mail System: This issue is infecting even the social aspect of this game, When friends are not online or a Linkshell leader is not on and a Must need message needs to be given how are they to get it? or a Gear piece or Item's for crafts for people when they return or from a nights worth of farming for some Crafters. I am just saying this is a MUST need Day 1 System. FFXIV = X

2. Linkshell Admin: Well no one needs to preach to the congregation here but come on. Re pearling every couple months do to people not wanting to play this is wrong and unfair to the people who are playing how can a Shell keep it's roots it's pride it's core if we got to Re do it it's annoying and wrong. A Simple Button that all MMO's Have to kick a member that's inactive.
- A Linkshell " ward " If were playing this game by wards why not make grand wards so Linkshells can not spam 20 retainers and just putt in LS wards, That can be Upgraded with SP or Gil donations by the Linkshell.. It frees up space and makes a task and goals for linkshells.
- Even some linkshell missions. Even a bonus for doing raids as a group all in same Linkshell gives players a chance to bond with that i say this.
- EXPAND party sizes for linkshell events or some events so linkshells can bond together more 8 people at a group with shells at 100+ makes the Leader leading a Vast amount of small groups rather then 1 or 2 large scale groups. Just an idea

- Linkshell/Guild ADMIN system = X


3. Fame / Achievements: Add some depth SE to this game give people goals or a list of Achievements one could gain for various tasks that we CAN see or try to do. like " Killed 20 Dodo's on a lancer Class Achievement: Chicken Kabobs! " The list could go on SE could even have people make some up and make them happen. GET PEOPLE involved! Together Were not playing a MMO to play Alone!

Fame=X Achievements= 1/2

AH / New wards?: Ward system OK Got it i see your idea but it's not working at all they are packed no organization! What i see or what an idea i see going around is this.. We have vendors in every city... Why not make each vendor a AH of the class or field in which they work under. NPC Under Grocers Tent in a City ~ click him a AH only for Groceries. In my eyes it ass reason for NPC vendors that i never seen in other MMO's Other then the basic New player items then there gone. If there people in the cities why not give them all purpose or reason other then a 1 time click.


This is just first installment of some major issues i see so far most people i see are crying about small things mob size or why birds don't fly or this or that let's fix the basic issues here not the dumb ones. Don't Get me wrong i love this game i speak on allots behalf i would just like a honest true answer not a bush that's been beat 100 times around and around, So SE What's the Verdict?:confused:

I think most players are very patient, but a mail system and advanced Linkshell administration tools are really overdue.
Also the game needs some help texts or a tutorial how to use the party search function for new players.

I can live without achievements though and the wards aren't too bad now.
The idea of using the existing vendor NPCs to sell stuff is great though. Maybe we could use our retainers to set the items and prices and these are put in the vendor NPCs buy menu then.
This would liven up the cities and add some atmosphere to the game.

Been playing from beta tell no no breaks and wont stop that's not the point the point is. We are not getting answers and if we are it's on BS pointless issues. And hard to enjoy running two shells with 1 event to do and no way to really organize in game. The leaders of shells haft to make there owen events to keep there members in the game. Yea it's so fun competing with SE on events and member flow.

Yes i agree the point of the thread wasn't to rant on but to spread ideas and hope that they will get through and to post more and not dwell on small non issues that seem to get all the rage on these forums

Let me enlighten you with the common answer from SE that has been thrown in the face of these requests repeatedly:

There are currently server optimization issues which make implementing these things difficult. Please give SE more time, they promise it will all be resolved eventually :)

SE knows about all of these things and they're all on 'to do' lists somewhere. Discussion on the points will not shorten the "medium future" timeline of these things. If that excuse isn't good enough you should move on to a new game because that's the line you're going to get for a few months yet.

I'd consider SE a lost cause until they prove otherwise. The time for the player base telling them how to improve on these points came and went. Plenty of great suggestions were made and all of them are "being considered" or in the works. It's their head on a plate if some better games come along before they get these things in order.
