Implement Bestiary? Not terribly important but a neat idea

I was thinking, wouldn't it be cool to have a bestiary record in one of the menu options, that records all of the different types of enemies that you've defeated, and how many times? Maybe it can also show the locations that enemy appears in, as well as other information, such as elemental weaknesses, etc.

edit: lol I re-read my post and the first thing that came to mind was.... Pokedex

edit again: Oh! Oh! And what items they drop too ;)

last edit: now my idea is just going wild... lol they might as well just implement an in-game encyclopedia with all locations, monsters, items (with features like what monsters they drop off, things like that), SYNTHESIS RECIPES.... keep in mind all of this is only updated to what you have discovered yourself. I think it'd be awesome xD

I like this idea. However, with so many enemy duplicates, it might be a while before we see something like it.

I would love this, regardless of how important it is. But it'd have to be done right. I would like art for the enemies pages, and I think it'd be cool to have information you unlock about the mob family through battle or "scan", like weaknesses, strengths, etc.

I don't care for it to list EVERY mob in the game, just the families and the NMs, and perhaps important characters to the story, good and bad NPCs.

I'll use this as a good oportunity to promote the thread.

This is what the Japanese players think the Bestiary should look like, they want it integrated into the Lodestone rather than ingame. It seems the Japanese player base really want the Lodestone to become an official wiki of some sorts based by how often they ask for Lodestone features.

Here is a mock-up I made of what I think the bestiary should look like in-game, obviously it's a bit of a wish-list mockup but here it is anyways.

Threads outside General discussion tend to languish without hard promoting of it.

I don't see why we couldn't have both in-game and lodestone style bestiaries. In-game to view your own progress, perhaps use quickly while fighting or before fighting a mob. Lodestone version to highlight your personal achievements and view others progress.
