So you can buy the shield for 390 Poetics, and sword for 7 Token + 1 Encrypted Tomestone.

I tght all the time i spend into Relic, Atma farm, Myth grind, Book, Dungon, gil, and 2000 light HM spam, i would have a DECENT use into the new content, but i guess my expectation was too high. The new weapon/sheild should take at top 3 week at 4h per week

At least, i did not spend 10m+ into these DET/Crit materia (as many did) and i bet these player may have a good feeling about all this too.

Time to move on i guess. GL to everyone on your nexus/trixus/anux or w/e they call them next update. Thank you Yoshi for that awesome useless spam.

P.S: Patch 2.4 also patched the brillant light from t6-t9, now is only bright. Have fun!

This is not news, its pretty common, last patch coil runners complained relic was better, new patch coil better, see a pattern here?

For you, perhaps. Clearing parts of the FCoB is required for the encrypted tomestone (I haven't read which turn yet) and perhaps you're going to be doing that and you'll personally get one within the first 3 weeks, however there are tons of other players who won't. Also I would like to know what you're doing to run through new Coil and cap poetics in just 4 hours.

You can't even get the weapon unless you beat t10. And even then you have a 1/8 chance of getting it if everyone wants it.

Coil gear will always have the lead with the relic line. This is to be expected.

To get the Poetics weapon, though, you need to be clearing T11 (?), and you need a good weapon to help get you there, ie: Nexus. Except, if you're on Final Coil, you're clearing T9 and can just use your T9 weapon which is nearly as good as Nexus anyway. Which means Nexus is basically only worth the grind to benefit your epeen and standing around in Mor Dhona with it out.

(For the record, I do have a Nexus (actually, I nearly have two) and I'm also on T10 and thus far it has not been worth the grind to have a Nexus for clearing content, so I will admit that it was only done out of boredom/completionist/epeen.)

Hmm... I don't know, Curtana is clearly better than the Poetic sword. I mean, unless you don't like the damage mitigation that Parry provides... As for the Holy Shield, every tome shield has been better than it is so nothing new there. Honestly, it's hit or miss between the relics and the tome weapons. Yagrush is clearly superior to Thyrus, same with Glanzfaust. At least until Novus/Nexus where you can reallocate the stats. Conversely, Gaebolg is the superior weapon to pretty much anything else. It depends on the weapons and their stats. All their stats.

We have a purple weapon, the best in its line, being outdone by a BLUE weapon from the hardest raid. What's wrong with this picture?

Why are people forgetting that they have to clear at least Turn 11 (its not a T10 drop, and haven't read up on T11 or T12 drops yet) to get the Poetics Weapon?

Seriously, how many people are going to be getting these weapons anytime soon? 1 drop per week (for each clear) split between 8 people...

Yeah...Nexus are going to fine for a while. A LONG while if you don't raid (which is probably 95% of the people complaining...)

Well thanks for trying, sadly i had T8 shield and T9 weapon before the nexus deal. I guess i am one of those (5%) sucker that wasted his time with it.

At least... now i know they evil plan, and i am not going to fall into it a second time. Ill beat the new coil and just stop my subscription till next patch as everyone seem to do in my FC. They having good laugh at me atm. (and if i was them, i would laugh loud too)
