To Vote-Kick Abuser, I will fight you!!!

The story goes as follow:

Yesterday, I queued up, as the tank, for Temple of the Quarn (HM), via DF. The party ended up with me, as the tank, a BLM, a WhM and a MNK. The run went smoothly as it should until we wiped at the second boss, the cactus with his 3 mil Needles move. All of us were all first timer, so we had little knowledge about how to deal with this mechanic until after 2 wipes, we finally understood that he had the same mechanic as BLM Moggle in Moggle Ex fight. We could stop the first one, however, we failed twice at the second time he casted the skill as the Guardian spawned. I personally realised if we did not take out the Guadian, the 3 million needles would KO us after the second wipe. However, before I even suggested what to to for our third attempt, someone initiated the vote kick on the MNK, with the reason as AFK which was, as the matter of fact, untruth. As I saw the vote was unjustified, I refused to kick him, though he still got kicked in the end. That moment, I knew, either the WHM or the BLM did initiate the vote-kick and the other followed. They blamed him for having undergeared and failed the DPS check on the boss. Honestly, his ILV should be around Ilv 95+, so there would be no way he was undergeared, and the failure of DPs leading to the wipe, I did not think it was the case at all. We failed to handle the mechanic, in which we needed to take out the Guardian before proceeding to cancel the skill on the boss. We could not cancel the skill as long as the Guardian was still up and that was exactly what we were doing, ignored the Guardian completely. We all hold responsible for our wipes, yet the MNK was the one who got kicked, which was unfairly. I left the Dun myself soon afterward, and reported these two abuser. I did not know who initiated it, however, I knew that one initiated it and the other agreed to something, which was fairly obvious a mistake, I judged as both equally guilty, hence I contacted the support desk and reported.

Now, this is how I will do if I see there is an abusing case of vote-kick system, in a 4 men party, it is pretty obvious to tell who went along with the vote-kick, though I can not tell who initiated it but I can easily point who took part in the vote. I will report them, and leave the Duns myself without any penalty applied. I do understand that by leaving the Dun mid-way is no good but I rather to be bad myself than helping those jerks finishing their Duns, after abusing the vote-kick system. I encourage people to do the same, to spread the message that those behaviours will not be tolerated, and that you will be reported and you will lose 2 players instead of 1 for such action.

Have fun waiting for another pop, you jerks!!!!And if you see me in your party, think twice before doing such thing.

ive seen that happen in ultimate weapon story dungeon to a new person... group rushed through to bosses etc left him behind he got lost somewhere on the way.. so instead of waiting n helping they started a vote kick even threatened to kick me cause i started heading back to where he was to lead him to the boss lol

u get ppl like that once in a while just only think of themselves n no1 else

Unfortunately you get a mix of people even in new dungeons i had a mixed bag yesterday trying out the new stuff. Got both ends did one run with a couple of well geared and talented DPS who were just really fun and not arrogant or impatient and another run with a Tank and his DPS friend who again geared and stuff but the total opposite. Charging into things not caring that anyone else is new and learning the mechanics for the first time never bothered to explain anything if they knew it then start being stuck up after a wipe because they are up their own backside then vote kicking me because i dared to speak against them. I think good experiences outweigh the bad though most people in the game on DF are really cool people sure sometimes people get some instance rage it can be frustrating but there is a difference between being frustrated and being super selfish and arrogant.

That GM reply is just open opportunities for Vote-kick abusers have even more reason to abuse such system, simple because they won't get punish for it such action....Good grief!!!

Please tell me what the issue was with that statement. It doesn't even apply to your situation.

So generalizing:
On one hand, an individual has the right to participate in a group (not be kicked for nothing).
On the other hand, an individual has the right to not have the experience ruined by others in the group (need to kick someone).

When these two principles come in conflict, how to resolve? .. Majority rule of course.

It is fairly hard to abuse the system as is. I can only think of 2 ways:
- Player rejoins immediately after being kicked (class with instant queue).
- Group takes a random player through lower part of dungeon and then kicks them in order to allow a friend/FC member/etc to join for last boss/best loot/completion. (Unfortunately, this one is almost impossible to prove.)

Pretty much any other reason is acceptable (skill-level, annoying chatter, couldn't keep up, etc) as long as there are enough votes to support it.

It, as a matter of fact, does have things to do in my case. "Skill level" is a key word here, as the message suggested, the vote kick is warranted for someone with a low skill level. In my case, the MNK suffered the vote kick from the other two because we all failed to deal with mechanic. The other two generalised the MNK as low skil level player, hence the vot kick and thought the could get away with is, which I find is absurd.

When the group failed to understand the mechanic, one player got kicked because he was the lowest ILv among all (ilv 90). It is not because if he was undergeared, or he failed as his class. Do you think this is justice and righteous? I think not.

It is absurd and stupid when people could get away from kicking someone off their fun, just because the whole group failed to do the mechanic properly, and he is the lowest ilv among all ( not being undergeared) , despite he is not trolling, harassment, fail at his class, etc... "Skill level" is a very broad definition, anything from gear to DPS number, from not competent to handle mechanic to mess up the rotation, from making mistakes on purpose or by pure accidents, etc... pretty much anything , the vote-kick abuser can kick someone under the definition of "Skill level" and get away with it, even when the whole group fail.

It is, in contradiction, very easy to abuse such system, I can pretty much kick you if :

1/ You have the lowest ilv gear among us, not being undergeared.
2/ You don't have 100% xyz buff/debuff on the targets.
3/ You don't understand the fight whether you are first timer or not, whether the group fail as a whole or not.
And many many more..

All of this, I can kick you because you have low skill level, which is a matter fact, sometimes not true.
