PS4 Player here, Why cant I relocate the chat box? Also, More HUD changes please? =D

I have seen plenty of people relocate it and other things. I use the touchpad-mouse function to re-size the chatbox size, but that can only do so much.

Honestly. I would like to relocate it further into the bottom-left corner of the screen like I did most of the other stuff.

And. Another thing. MORE HUD OPTIONS =D!
I would truly love the ability to re-size some of the menu items such as how big the party list has to be, The LIMIT BREAK GAUGE (Seriously, it is Waaaaaay too huge! Its about as big as the chatbox!) And potentially even replacing some of the icons with optional variants, Such as lets say. Instead of a gigantic limitbreak bar that covers half of the screen. how about we get something like a numerical representation that says "Limit 0" But the letters or just the number slowly fill with color to represent the % of limit gauge currently filled. All the way up until it turns to an orange pulsing "Limit 3"

I would Love to see more options for the HUD and possibly even HUD Icon variants, And especially the ability to freely remove stuff (Such as the progress bar, Its already represented at the topleft of the screen, So personally as a healer who is 90% of the time only looking at the topleft of the screen, I can see my progress of casting just fine up there... So I dont even need the progress bar)

In general. The game would be more enjoyable in my opinion if I could edit the HUD to my liking a bit more. I feel that in the HUD you should be able to re-scale the objects between 50% of the default up to 150% of the default. It would make everything oh so much better to play <3 I know the PC can since it has more resolution options (Judging from videos online and screenshots, it seems to have quite abit more scaling options for the HUD...) and well. I would like to see this reflected in the PS4 edition...

I do hope you take some of these things into consideration. I do love this game. But, Being able to look at it easily and see as much of the battlefield as possible is essential when the zoom out function is as limited as it is. while PC players can have the GUI taking up 1/10th of the screen and be able to see every inch of the battlefield. Without some serious HUD changes. Over 60% of the screen is covered in HUD. I absolutely DARE you to try and do syrcus tower without editing the HUD in the PS4 version.

You can scale everything individually in the hud options. just select party list or lb bar and press R3. As far as the chatbox idk about that on ps4

To move the chatlog box arpound you need to grab it with mouse cursor by the General tab ;) It's same for PC, PS3 and PS4 versions.

That only works on stuff like the character tab / the inventory window IIRC. It doesnt alter the size of things like the cross bar or player list when you are in the HUD editor. Ill be sure to double check when 2.4 is up in a few hours.

Tried that, No matter where I clicked I could only drag the topright corner of the chatbox, making the chatlog bigger or smaller, not the actual position of the chat.

You have to be in mouse mode, put the cursor on the General tab underneath, and then click/hold it to drag it where you want it.

If thats the case, then this returns to a thread about being a bug.

Bug: only able to alter the chatbox position when in mouse mode instead of being able to use the touchpad.

Not a bug so much as working as intended for PS3 or a PC in controller mode. I don't play on console, but use PS3 controller in gamepad mode and that's how I do it. It's also how you do it on the PS3 also (have a friend that uses PS3). On PC even when you are in controller mode, you can grab your mouse or hit your touchpad on a laptop and put the cursor on it and drag it too. If you had a USB mouse/touchpad on a PS3, it may behave the same too, IDK. The PS4 should follow the same rules... don't know about the touchpad on the controller though. If it functions as a mouse in game, then it should behave in the same fashion.

So whatever you have to do on a PS4 to put the mouse cursor on the General Tab under the chat box, then click/hold it and drag it where you want it.

You drag it by clicking on the general tab at the bottom. I find it will only move so far left even though I have quite a bit of room before it hits the edge.
