Request: Dance Sync

There are a lot of endless dances in the game atm, and if you synch on your own screen, chances are you're out of time on other people's screens. I was wondering what you guys would think of the ability to do something like /mdance sync <t>, which would allow people to dance in time with someone for every screen. Not sure how easy that would be, but going by how often I see people trying to get a good ol' fashioned line dance going, this would probably put a lot of smiles on a lot of faces. :)

I requested this a while back on the Japanese forums. No dev response though.

I do hope they implement it eventually. We had a huge player event on Gungnir last night with probably several hundred people doing the bomb dance, but of course everyone was out of sync which was just too bad.

I'd like to have /countdown back, I know it doesn't fix this problem but yeah. Would help when you're the picture taker. Only way to "fix" the sync is to rezone though it won't fix everything 100% of the time but it does work.

I time mine differently on purpose. Usually it's still in time with the other dancers and visually looks decent and offers a change of pace. I don't want people just walking up to me after I've timed my side down and syncing with me. I wanna be different ;)

In Guild Wars (1), you could do /emote *, and it would sync with some sort of in-game clock, so all dances would start at the same point along with any other emote you chose to sync.

I liked this.

The animations aren't synched with the server. You can actually get everything to synch on your screen by re-zoning. All animations will reset synching everyone.

Yes, that will sync everyone else ... on your own screen.

If you want to participate, you still need to synchronize yourself by starting your own dance at the right time.

And of course, to everyone else, you will probably be out of sync.
