Why can't we have jobs with this level of depth and customization in FFXIV?

Recently I reactivated on That Game, and I was checking out some of the new jobs added since I last quit.

And I came across this page.

Holy sheet. Not even just spells and abilities and MP/TP management... You can even customize the AI??

Why can't we have jobs that have this kind of customization and depth in FFXIV? My FC doesn't understand why I refuse to play DPS in XIV, but... if there was something like this... I wouldn't even care if it was shunned in endgame, I'd be all over it anyway.

This thread is not a request to bring in puppetmaster.
This thread is not a request to copy FFXI mechanics or endgame, etc.

What is it? A request for more complex, thought out, deep jobs. Comparable to some jobs/classes seen in other MMOs. I used a specific example of a job from XI I came across while surfing, but it's not the only example out there.

I'm not saying the more straightforward jobs should go away. I would just like to see some options at the other end of the spectrum.

This is X not Y is a terrible reason for not adding in interesting mechanics/depth to the game.
Seriously people who reply like this are stupid.

There is a huge outcry by lots of people for more depth in all areas of the game, from gear, to jobs, to the open world, to monster AI. BUT NOPE THIS IS XIV SO WE CAN'T HAVE THAT NOT AT ALL XIV DOESN'T ACCOMMODATE TO CHANGE OR CHOICES FOR THE PLAYER.

bc ffxiv was catered to everyone. not ocd ppl who will go the extra nine yards. im one of those ocd people.

anyways what it comes down to is.

different team, different game.

ffxi is for ocd neurotic players.

ffxiv is for the everyday gamer.

loved ffxi, watched every cutscene. it was an epic saga.

enjoy ffxiv, skipped every cutscene. yawn* don't feel the same epicness. skip!

again. different games. different times.

ffxiv regresses in gameplay and story in comparison with ffxi, but thats what the times call for.

just love it for what it is not what it isn't.

LOL, that's what I said but with much less words. There were many, many posts asking this game to be more like XI. It's a very old topic and not going to happen.

No need to be an ass. Old topic gets simple answer.

Please note that I'm not in any way expecting FFXIV to be FFXI-2.

I just pulled that example because I found it fascinating how much setup and customization you could do in that job. It's not like FFXI is the only MMO to have stuff like that (But it is the same franchise...).

I know FFXIV is not those other games. I don't want FFXIv to "be like FFXI" But back to my OP: Why can't we have depth and heavy customization with any of our jobs?

I know that playstyle isn't for everyone but we already have lots of jobs with a straight forward rotation and no customization. Why can't we have some on the other side of that spectrum too?

If that type of character was built with this game, 99% of the "customization" would end up ignored.

That's a lot of development effort to just go to waste...

When you shut down a question posed by someone with a single dismissive sentence, it's rude (and attaching "sorry" at the end doesn't make it any less). Don't get upset when someone replies back with the same carelessness towards the poster as you.

They were asking why we couldn't have jobs or areas of the game with comparable depth, not asking for a carbon copy of PUP or XI mechanics to be implemented into the game.
