In the lyrics to "Good King Moogle Mog" there are two lines I cannot find a plausible translation for:
Pukla Puki plays with fire"Poms" might be British Slang for "foreigner" or "immigrant" - is that the intended meaning?
Poms a-burning on her pyre
Nod your noggle nogI could not find anything useful for "noggle" or "nog" - is it a misspelling?
And mind your gob
Or he'll put you to the sword!
A Moogle pom is the little red ball sticking out of their head, and probably what the song is referring to.
I think the "poms a-burning on her pyre" is a reference to moogle poms which is the fluffy bit on top of their head ...
It's definitely not slang for immigrants or anything like that :)
Noggle nog is just a cutesy way to fit the lyrics, referring to the slang "noggin" for head. And, like everyone else has said, pom refers to the pom-pom or fuzzy ball sticking out from the top of the moogle's head!
Poms are the red orbs that moogles have attached to their heads.
