Eliminate /sh in residential areas

Seriously, it is supposed to be a relaxing, peaceful place. I don't want to have to make a special filter for Mist, nor do I want to start adding people to my blacklist simply because they need an outlet to feel like people care about what they have to say. At least when I do it, it's here in a forum, not forced upon people. It's bad enough Mor Dhona can resemble Barrens chat, but the residential areas should be restricted to /s and party/ls/FC chat.

They are talking in a mmorpg instead of going AFK in Mor Dhora while queing for dungeons?

Must be your server. On Cactuar, residential areas are mostly quiet, at least in my ward in Lavender Beds and a few other wards I've been to in the Goblet and Mist. When people do talk, they say it in Say chat.

Heck, my ward has a Linkshell for all the FCs that are (for the most part) in our ward. Don't get how this is a problem though.

It's like real life where you have those damn college kids having a party at their house forcing you to file a noise complaint.

Kinda immersive.

Rarely do I see shouts on my server, we usually just speak in /say

According to who? Stay inside your house if you don't want to read other people in a MMO.

I have a special tab setup where shout is not active.

Why should I have to switch between chat filters because people like you need attention? It's not just me having this problem, it's just most people don't want to kick the little nerdrage ant bed over. You can go to Mor Dhona, why annoy people everywhere you have the opportunity? Why not use /say? Why is the burden always on all the people who don't want to be annoyed by one selfish person?
