Question about Reagan Pepper (Chocobo Reset Stats)

I want to reset my points as I was one of those unlucky ones that spaced out the points among different classes.

What I want to know is, how does the Reagan Pepper work?

Can you use it directly from your inventory?

Or do you have to belong to a Free Company with a stable to feed it?

You just use it like you would any consumable from your inventory. Once you go to your companion menu, your points can simply be reallocated.

I started with a hybrid rank 10 chocobo, and ran into an issue with the barding.

I purchased 3 reagan peppers.

Used a reagan pepper.
Reallocated all points to go 100% tank, "You have earned the Paladin Barding"
Used a reagan pepper.
Reallocated all points to go 100% healer, no barding awarded. no message.
Used a reagan pepper.
Reallocated all points to go 100% dps, no barding awarded. no message.

This clearly looks like a bug, and I wanted to confirm whether other people are having the same issue.

I already submitted the bug report in-game, but never got a reply.

This is by design. After getting your first Rank 10 barding, you need to break the rank cap in order to receive any more.
