Please let us lock Desynthesis levels

So I finally hit 100 in GSM Desynthesis without too much progress in other crafts. I'd been intending on levelling CUL Desynth for awhile since I was a heavy fisher and hit up the anchovies.

Then this happened.

Yo, let us lock at least one desynth skill. GSM is relatively effortless to max but if it were something like Blacksmith? Come on.

this is exactly what I worry about.

Not sure if it completely solves the issue, but I've found that you must do at least 1 desynth in those 1.00 skill crafts to "allow" them to fall. This should hopefully curb the rate of losing skill level in skills you actually have advanced.

Screenshot filter ended up being kind of dark, but most of the other desynth levels are 8-10 for that very reason. As it is, my culinarian is at 75 and my GSM is at 99.8... not too bad to recover from but I fear for when I approach 300/300 or if that's even a good idea as that third skill will probably take huge chunks of skill off at random.

Simply by logical thinking - it is impossible to have 3 skills at 100 with cap of 300 and I am sure it isn't intended to be so. The one skill you use most may vary from 99.99 to 100.00 but other 2 will be slightly lower. Still, the loss of 0.01 is nothing - the word "decreased" just make you feel mad itself.

theres an about 1.5% success difference between 99.9 and 100

Please let us lock in our desynth skills. I was experimenting with desynth early in the patch and realize that I didn't want to keep some of the desynth I started out with. I started desynthing with the presumption that the lowest level skill will get delevel first in priority and not randomly taking a big chunk out of any of your other skill. Now my character is punished very harshly for even trying to cap out 2 skills. I have 2 classes at 55 ish and two classes at 95 ish. If I even try to level my two of my high level classes, they have a high chance of just deleveling one another and wasting me a huge amount of time and gil.

Yes I know that It's stupid to presume that the system would work logically but at least make it fair for people like me to "fix" our levels so we can at least finish maxing two desynth skills in peace. Please.

I really hate this system atm. I rather keep my progress and reset it with a book or something AT LEAST.

I hate that too. Because of that system, i can't desynth a low level item because i will probably end by loosing 0.01 in my highter desynth stats. And when your around 90 and more, 0.01 means a lot of money.
