Syrcus Tower 1st boss
After wiping over and over it became blatantly apparent why most players can't succeed in endgame.
The boss only has 5 or so mechanics, and a very forgiving time period to complete them. Still... there are people freezing other people, people evaporating safety pools, people lunching around in AoE. And after wiping multiple times, when someone tries to explain why people are dying over and over, they get yelled at for being bossy or told to STFU.
No one checks tooltips
No one wants to listen
Sure its the first day, but none of this is rocket surgery.
This raid should be called "Circus Tower" amirite?!

Seriously, don't complain on first day. Most of them are going blind on it.

That's because there is a bystander theory when you get large groups of people together. They think they can simply do what they want and someone else will pick up the slack or do their job for them. This seems more apparent with DD since there are more of them, but this goes for everyone. My first run of CT2 last night took nearly the full 1:20 due to multiple wipes on each boss because people wouldn't listen.
Edit: But you have to consider that it is the first day also.. I consider myself a very good player and even I had my mistakes. Until more people learn the mechanics it's just how it will be. Gotta give it time. :) Even though my group struggled, once we wiped a few times and learned we did the fights very well and with minimal deaths.

Nah.
I was healing that mess. There's a LOT going on to figure out and you're doing it with 23 other clueless people. We wiped many times and there's a few things I'm still unsure on (I only went the once.) Mad props to the 23 patient and enthusiastic EN (mostly) speakers on the Elemental data center in my alliance yesterday morning. Happy to work with you guys! :o
We beat CT2 with 10 mins to spare. :)

I had a blast going through Syrcus Tower. My raid cleared it with less than 10 minutes remaining. So much fun, and the wipes were spectacular.
I'm enjoying this as much as I can while it lasts. Once Mr. Happy releases his "guide" we'll be back to the status quo.

Got really lucky with my first run last night. Almost everyone was new, except one of the tanks who was explaining things to us but only enough so that we wouldn't wipe and allowing us to be surprised still by the battle. Sure we wiped a few times, but we laughed it off, shouted about snakes and frogs and other good stuff, and eventually we cleared it all and a good time was had by all I felt. Alliance chat was full of encouragement and jokes, not insults...it was lovely.
And by this time next week the world will have corrected itself. But still, I thank that tank for helping to guide us but still not spoiling too much and for not getting mad when all his armour broke on the last boss after our third wipe - oops xD
On topic of first boss - god that was a mess xD After wiping once we got a little more organised and managed to down it on the third go once we learned just what was going on a little bit better.
-
Don't get me wrong - I was brand spanking new too. And after the first 2 wipes, it was all good. But there was a very definite line between those of us that wanted to learn and adapt, and those that wanted to Leeroy.
After 5+ wipes, its time to stop Leeroying

1st boss is hardest boss in syrcus tower tbh
and way too much mess to heal
but we beat entire syrcus tower with about 40 mins left and in 1st queue
was fun

Was a whm in there. Quite a smooth run for me, basically power heal through everything.
Funny part is we have more trouble with the second boss.

Yesterday we were still trying to teach people how to do Ancients. Wiped on every boss.
