Exactly. Eorzea is a neo-medieval world just on the cusp of industrialization (and that is mostly a result of Garlean innovations finding their way into Eorzea) - Cloud's futuristic motorcycle just wouldn't fit no matter how much fanservice it would give. Now, his original bike the Hardy Daytona is more fitting, given how clunky and steampunkish it is, but it's still a stretch. And lets face it, Eorzea's roads aren't exactly the best for wheeled transportation (look at the chocobo carriages - they don't even have wheels for this reason, but float above the ground!), making a motorcycle even more unlikely.

Really, I think we have enough mounts already - I only ever use one or two tops now and the rest sit idle.

Well just because you only use 2 mounts doesn't mean its the same for everyone. We have mount roulette even. I'd be down with his G-Bike, or if they made a "hover" bike based off the design.

It would be vastly different, and based on the allagan heavy armor/chain armor gear (See Wyrm Set for Dragoon. Or some of the Allagan Weapons from Coil 1.) It would probably use Corrupt, Unrefined or ( Spoilers? ) Anti-Crystals ( / Spoilers? ) for its hover tech. it would also have some sort of ghostly hover noise as it moved about, and would have no "Motorcycle" ambient sound effect due to having no motor or combustion engine.

If there was such a thing, it'd no doubt be something that'd need to be done carefully, while tech and magitek does exist in FFXIV, it's not everywhere, and it'd need to be made in such a way that it wasn't too jarring to the current setting. Also the location is very important, if one where to go to Garlan and see motorcycles all over the place, that's one thing, but in Eorzea, it's a much rarer thing, and when it does show up, it's connected to them (or maybe the allagan)

I'd rather have a chocobo-drawn hover chariot.

It would just be explained as one of Cids new Inventions, spearheaded by Jesse, inspired by Magiktec, and Constructed by Garlean Ironworks.

A motorcycle would be a stupid mount for this game. Please look at the eorzean world around you and tell me how a freakin' motorcycle would fit it in.

They turned Ifrit into a spaceship in FF XII and Shiva into a motorcycle in XIII.

Don't underestimate SE's possibilities and will to troll the players, especially when, for a change, they are still harvesting 30 million dollars each month by doing so.
