Im SO glad I came back....

Playing with a friend who wanted to get back into the game.

Animus for him, 20 hours/3 days.

1 Atma for me 15 hours, 2nd one hasnt dropped 8 hours/5 days total

Thanks SE, I'm glad I payed for 3 more months. After coming to the forums and seeing the complaints and nothing has been done, I'm pretty shocked.

I wanted to grind this new relic quest alongside my friend since its the whole reason I came back, now hes onto the myth farming and I'm stuck hoping for drops that may never happen.

EDIT:Had some stuff to do mid day but managed to get 2 hours of grinding in the morning and 3 hours this evening Atma #2 dropped so there's 28 hours for 2.

Welcome to the club. Most people hate the Atma grind but Yoshi won't even comment much on it being disliked or plans to change.

Yeah Ive read through most of the other posts regarding them.. and the fact that they increased myth gain but ignored the Atma problems... Its really sad.

Unfortunately I don't have anything to suggest since the only alternate path to the upgraded relic weapon is to be one of the top players in a well organised raid group and defeat the hardest content in the game alongside those friends (raid weapon). You are blocked by availability of skilled players, or the randomness of the relic path. You can't really catch up to your friend on the relic quest without luck on your side.

The worst part is people quitting over it. Once patch 2.2 hit several of my friends and one of my static members quit the game entirely. This is about when I started getting mad about it because I really care about the game but they are refusing to change it despite players being upset.

Hah and u guys think atma is the bad part. Just go look at novus. For a super casual player. Novus can take 75 days to get

Yeah that is what bothers me. Anything making players quit the game like this should be raising a red flag, but apparently its not.

Getting a group is the hardest part.. PF groups for T5 have let me down.. Him and I study the fights in and out and rarely if ever die to mechanics. We out damage people more geared than us, then they cry its our fault we are wiping because our ilvl is lower (last I checked 91 with 15% echo was overkill). Which is why its also hard to get into a static because people only seem to care about ilvl, since we cant have DPS meters/parsers without fear of "Breaking ToS". So were both SoL in that regard...

TIL Theory crafting BiS with novus and spending tons of extra time learning every part of a fight is casual... and at least Novus gives me a measurement of my progress.

That's generally not why people hate the quest. It's not that it takes long, it's the random aspect combined with the borefest of FATEs.

Make your own static. Boom.
