FFXIV not supporting Ps3. If that's true there will be angry ps3 players lol. I'm happy I got a ps4 xD. Is 399 really that much? Just get a ps4

ps3 is supported till at least the first expansion, but it is all possible they will stop updating it eventually.

They've guaranteed support until at least (meaning it could be extended) the first expansion, whenever that is. The point they were trying to get across was that if the PS3 hinders their ability to keep the game updated and competitive (i.e. more advanced features), then support will be dropped in favour of keeping the game going.

Pretty much this. The game is doing quite well so PS3 support may very well be dropped at some point later if this is true.

just because [i will assume] you dont have many responbilities as most ppl on this game.
ie. car payments, college, kids, mortage etc etc. doesnt mean "is 399 really alot?" yes, it is coz some of us got
important things than upgrade to a system that they even said it'll fly thru to at least the 1st expansion.

or you know, buy me a ps4. i'll glady take it.

Yup $399.99 is a lot of money. I'm picking up a PS4 tomorrow when I get paid ^^ (PS3 took a crap last week). After taxes + 2 year warranty, I'm looking at close to $480That's a lot of damn money. As for the PS3 support I'm sure SE will drop support at sometime for NA/EU players but for JP I doubt it. SE still supports PS2 for FFXI in JP (the last Expansion anyways) so I could see them doing the same for FFXIV.

Yeah after the warranty, taxes,playstation plus, any other game, and an extra controller it's way pass $500 to upgrade 600 actually. Yeah thats a whole lot of damn money.
