Will Sqaure-Enix continue to improve the quality for PS3 users?

Or, since the launch of PS4 will there be no further development regarding improving the overquality of gameplay on a PS3 system? What about people who don't feel like upgrading right away?

I'm sure everyone wants a PS4, but maybe everyone can't get one, or just don't feel like buying one for a long time.

Will measures be made to try to increase load times, the HUD and make the game more user friendly, or will Sqaure-Enixjust give up on their PS3 players?

I don't think measures will be taken to enhance the experience on PS3, there is already a feature which supposedely won't make it to PS3. My experience on PS3 (With SSD installed) is smooth so far. I know its gonna be better on PS4, but I'm not suffering right now so not gonna bother with getting a PS4 until my gameplay is impacted.

They probably are trying to find ways to get people off that system

SE will not give up on PS3. They will continue to do everything they can to make it possible for people enjoy the game. And although it isn't the crazy super computer that some people think everyone needs to play the game, I think SE has done a great job making a very viable version of the game. However (Please forgive me) they can only do what they can do. The PS3 does have it's limits and can only be pushed so far.

As a PS3 user myself, I honestly don't think they'll be doing anything to their systems, on their end anyways, to improve overall quality or speed that can be directly felt by us.

Honestly, as far as that goes, the only thing that PS3 truly lacks on is loading speed going in/out of instances/cutscenes. Things such as latency and lag, while there are some server related issues, is for the most part an ISP issue, which SE has no control over.

But graphic quality in general, I don't really think they can do much because that's basically up to how the PS3 can process and render the information it's being given.

I also want a PS4, just cant really afford it currently, so I know the pain. I just keep playing with what I have and enjoy myself regardless, it's not always about pretty graphics, but content anyways.

Control mechanics, sure. It would be also good for PS4.

Yoshida has only guaranteed PS3 support through the first expansion. He's already stated that if they feel it's necessary to drop PS3 support in order to compete with next-gen MMOs, they will do so.

Pretty sure they announced that, at some point, (I think I remember 2.4ish) that they would drop PS3 support.

Probably considering Japan has a huge console group.

Same thing as PS2 and FFXI, it will be backed for a very long time.

I think XIV is already taxing PS3 as it is. The system isn't capable of doing more.
