Desperate request to SE from a frustrated PvPer

I am literally disgusted by the PvP system as it currently exists. The que times for anyone high rank are 15 minutes or above. This makes it impossible to rank up, even if we were to win every game.

So how are people dealing with this? They are creating 2 groups of 4 people, and queing them up at the same time to win trade. One team will deliberately lose by letting the opposing team kill them, then vice versa. This is an absolute disgrace to anyone who cares about the spirit of PvP or the integrity of the Rank system. However, win trading is the only real way to rank up at the moment.

So, how can we fix this problem? REDUCE OR REMOVE THE MATCHMAKING BARRIERS. If players are able to que against a wider range of other players, it will reduce the que times 10 fold. People will spend more time playing the game and less time waiting. It will also make the win trading a much less appealing option, and most people will stop doing it.

Nah. That's a bad idea.

Removing the Data Center limitation from Arenas would do it.

Or incentivizing PvP players more. The Mark accrual rate/item costs are utterly ridiculous.

I say add Bronze/Silver/Gold performance ratings with scaling bonus exp/marks, for one.

I am having a hard time believing this, because people on our server have tried it time and time again... We just wanted to PVP each other mind you.. 1v1 ... duel... etc... Not win trade...

I even tried to open a ticket.. that went ignored completely.

The reason your teams are not getting matched together is because of the matchmaking restrictions that I am complaining about. The average rank of the members on the 2 teams has to be very close, or the que will never pop. The win traders have this figured out though, and organize their teams to have similar average ranks.

Win trading is an easy out, but even the high rank players believing themselves to be entitled to guaranteed wins have to find a suitably ranked group that are able to queue against them and feed experience.

Removing the rank restrictions only serves to aggravate the gear gap which became even worse with the new i100 animal set. This is the lesser evil, at least until 2.3's changes.

So let me get this straight... even if NO OTHER teams are available, rather than match you with a higher rank because the system has no choice, the match making system will simply never match up the two teams even if they are the only ones queued?

what a horrible system. Thanks for the info.

Here's whats strange.. It would grant us a few matches when our 2 teams of 4 queued up.... maybe 3-4 matches.. then the queue would die... are those first couple matches always a fluke? It always seems to follow the same pattern.

There are not enough players to make aggressive matchmaking, 2.2 system fail time queue for smallest community, BARRIERS are fine because i t's the easy choose of SE : Make strict matchmaking with 1 melee DPS instead fix Melee DPS classes.

Pvp is totally unbalanced ! The 2.25 major pvp update just add experience to earn...

The system actually will match you up...eventually. If your average rank between teams is off by over about 10-12 ranks, the que will take longer to pop. You will find yourself sitting in que for 15 minutes, just like you would if you were queing solo. I think the rank restrictions should be reduced, so that this wont happen.

As for your games popping then the que dying, I don't know why that is happening. All I can say is that I know there are lots of bugs in the system and weird things do happen. For example, sometimes I will wait in que for 10 minutes, then withdraw my registration and reque right afterwards just to see an instant que pop. Other times, the que will only pop if we put both teams on the French que only.
