Oh, I thought this was going to be more along the lines of:
"What do you mean, you've never done Sastasha before?! NOOB! Go watch a runthrough video!"
noob, L2troll, go watch a video plz
Intercourse? Hold on guys, I'll go watch a walkthrough video!
I have never watched or read about tactics ever because I don't like spoiling stuff. And only once has someone commented on it. When I did Garuda Hard, but one wipe later I understood the entire fight and we got her down.
Gaming has never been about learning how to beat things the best way before you've even tried it. It's about experience new things and learn by doing. Trial and Errorr!
And no I don't care if it's mean to people who wants to do it without wipes, they have party finder for that
So, now I am back from watching a video about how to watch the video about how to post on this forum.
Brb, gonna watch a video about how to beat Ifrit HM.
Watching videos is worthless (especially Mr. Happy's videos--that guy has no idea what he's talking about half the time).
There is no substitute for experience, and too many people think online video "guides" are the be all end all of strategies. The only thing watching videos does is add confusion, since every party is made up of different people with different classes and different skill levels. More often than not I hear people say, "Wait, that's not what I saw in the video. What are we doing again?"
And it leads to the inevitable stacking of parties with "preferred" jobs, because people are too lazy and unskilled to understand that yes, you can bring melee DPS to Garuda EX. Yes, you can speed run Brayflox hard just as quickly with DPS other than BRDs and BLMs. etc.
Because he's trying and failing, perhaps? I see his videos as a hindrance to the community more than a help.
Guys, what would we do without videos to watch on how to do things?
...
I guess I should watch a video for that answer.
