Quality of Life Changes Part I

The purpose of this thread is to provide a consolidated list of obvious Quality of Life changes that would help improve the functionality and accessibility of existing features.

If anyone has any QoL changes they would also like to see added, post them below and I will effort to amend them to this post.

This thread is posted on this subforum for visibility.

• Effect of "Heavy" cast from normal monster reduced to 5 seconds.
• Allow to talk to NPCs while Mounted.
• Show the % progress of FATEs on the Map.
• Allow us to queue for Duty Finder with our Chocobo Companion summoned.
• Allow us to open our Zodiac Weapon Books while Mounted.
• Add an Aetheryte in Whitebrim.
• Add refresh button to Party Members and Friend List menus.
• Save/Remember preference for "Move online players to top of list" for each relevant menu.
• In the list of available glamour options, include gear that is stored on your retainers and armoire.
• Give Stoneskin (with Graniteskin) a unique buff icon.

Reserved...

I'd like to see a Graniteskin buff icon that's different from the normal Stoneskin one, similar to how Proshell's is different from the normal Protect.

I may be wrong, but I think they are fixing this in 2.25. There was a dev response somewhere.

Im approve this. Im all for making the game a much smoother experience. The less hassle i have to go through, the more immersed i can make my gaming experience.

I think either in beta or early on in the game I could hover over someplace on the map and see the name of that place like "Camp Tranquil" or whatever, but now it just says like "Settlement" or "Aetheryte" which is not as useful.

So, like, changing that back might be cool. :cool:

This only happens if you are hit by a monster on a mount. The only way I could agree with this change is if they increased the leash radius at which monsters stop chasing you and return to their spawn point, because it's pitifully short as it is now. The open world is already boring and free of any danger whatsoever, we don't need to make this even worse by getting rid of literally the only thing that might slightly deter you from running through a big pack of level 50 mobs.
