3 star crafting question

Recently I just got my master recipe and upgraded crafting weapon for my weaver class.

At the moment, I am at 398 craftsmanship and 376 control. I have all the crafting classes to 50 EXCEPT blacksmith and armorsmith. So I do not have ingenuity II.

Is it possible for me to HQ 3 stars at a decent rate (80-90% and above) without ingenuity II or is this pretty much required?

Required. Ingenuity really sucks for 3 stars. You'll also need Piece by Piece, so pretty much the two crafts you don't have at 50 need to be.

It's funny, the path they've decided to take crafting down onto.

At first, they planned for people to probably only have one or maybe a couple crafts at 50, and thus have a need for HQ mats in order to HQ high level recipes. After they saw that wasn't quite the case, they designed 3 star synths around the idea that you need practically every craft at 50 to be able to do it AND have HQ mats.

To answer your question, the post above me is right. You'll need both Ingenuity and Piece By Piece.

You wont need Ingenuity.

ING II vs ING, you can see the difference at the end. At 233, it doesn't matter, but at 445, it will.

They probably didn't expect everyone to HQ stuff 100% of the time. They decided to make players really work for that. Either you make 3-star stuff just for glamour (NQ) or you level/meld everything and shoot for HQs.

That crafting simulator hasn't been updated since December, so it's results for Ing1 and Ing2 aren't correct for 3 star crafts. In case you're wondering 391 craftsmanship gives 55 progress normally, 60 w/Ing1, and 70 w/Ing2, not 88 and 101 as your screenshots claim.

As Scarebearz says, you won't need Ingenuity (1 or 2) for 3 star crafts. At most you trade 32 CP for 10 durability.

Piece by Piece is pretty much necessary though.
