Thaaaaaat?
Actually Beef Jerky and Jerked Beef ARE NOT the same thing !
Beef Jerky is the dryed out Cow 4skin that many Americans love to chew on.
Jerked Beef is a Jamaican Specialty (like Jerked Chicken or Jerk Chicken), where the beef is rubbed and marinated in hot spices (or 'Jerked' ahem) and then cooked / barbequeued !
So they aren't the same thing but probably the Dev team isn't aware of that lol.
Beef Jerky is dry and gross, Jerked Beef is succulent and spicy ! :p
Dont you love food trivia in the morning ?!
edit: after a quick google after my post I can see that Americans seem to call 'Jerky' - Jerked Beef as well. So maybe the translation is ok after all (for America anyway, which, as we know is the only country in the world.) (Joke !) love you Obama xxx :)
I was going to reply something similar to Spellstar, but he/she already represented the West Indians properly. ^^ I'm american, and from the west coast where we eat a lot of beef jerky. Jerked beef to us is the Jamaican dish and beef jerky is dried preserved beef. So when I saw jerked beef, I though the Jamaican food immediately and was like "aww i'd rather it be jerked chicken", then I craved Jamaican beef patties and I was kinda angry ; ; cause reno lacks the culture to have a place that sells em!
How can we live in a world without Jerked Beef in the auto-translate dictionary?
