Launcher Error

Hello :). Just had a quick problem. I have FFXIV on PS3 and PC. Haven't had an issue yet on PS3, and up until patch 2.16 I hadn't had an issue on PC. After the patch went live I played on PC for about 2 hours when randomly I got disconnected. Wasn't able to log back in or anything, but I was able to hop right in on the PS3.

I got the game on steam and made sure my files were validated. Both times it said they weren't and redownloaded them. After that didn't work I uninstalled and reinstalled the game, and still have the "Unable to complete version check" come up. It does give these codes [30605][20448][10009][10019].

Just started happening last weekend for me. Not a total loss as I still can play on PS3, I just prefer it on the PC. Could it be I don't have all the ports opened? I never did check to see what ones I needed either, but being it worked before I can't see that being the problem. Any help is appreciated :)

Having the same issue, the game worked fine last night less than 12 hours later and its not working. Can we having some info from SE regarding this issue please?

Hello, As above i had this issue. I downloaded a program called Ccleaner which I used to clear my cache. After it did what he had to do I then restarted the FFXIV PC launcher and it worked. Seems clearing your cache helps.

I've had Ccleaner for years. And clearing the cache didn't work for me as I had done it multiple times. Was on the Steam forums and people have different solutions to fix it ranging from changing the properties of files, to a total reinstall of windows and the game :P. Oh well like I said not a total loss as I still got the PS3 version
