HUD Setup

When adjusting my hud, I like to move certain elements as close to the edge of the screen as possible. However, there seems quite a bit of margin when everything is moved over as far as it will go. On my 22" screen, there seems to be a 1" margin. There are certain elements that can't be resized or moved with the hud. Like the chat box. I know you can resize that by dragging the corner in mouse mode, but I have yet to figure out how to move the chat box. Also, the character dialog boxes can't be resized. If there a way to make them bigger, I don't know how. Changing font size does not help.

I can get all of my elements squished right up against the edge of the screen no problem. E.g. http://oi57.tinypic.com/2803zv9.jpg

Are you perhaps using a custom resolution?

Move the chat box by clicking and dragging on the name of the first tab, usually 'General' if you haven't renamed it. You can separate the tabs by clicking and dragging on the tab you want to separate. If you need to recombine them, either drag the chat log you want to recombine back to the main one using the same method, or click on the 'X' button that appears beside the name tab.

There is no way to resize or reposition NPC dialog boxes, unfortunately. Presumably this is because they're used both in the world as well as in cutscenes, and they don't want them to be in different spots during a cutscene since they've blocked them to not be obscured by the dialog box in it's default position and size.

Probably, but I'm not clear where that is :(. I noticed other people posting PS4 stuff here so I figured that's what peeps were doing

They might not fix that. They're probably compensating for an ancient thing called "Overscan" when it comes to televisions.

Most TVs you can defeat all of it and some you cannot. They're probably catering to those who can't defeat all their overscan.

Had the Same Problem.

Go into the ps4 Menü and to settings / Sound and screen / Display area settings

It helped for me, hopfully it will help You to.
