Unable to activate on Steam

I've got my FFXIV product code and it's not letting me add FFXIV to my steam library. I VERY much want to be able to stream from my desktop to my other computers via steam. What can I do at this point?

You have to buy FFXIV on steam you just can't add your own FFXIV code too it. At this point i don't see them giving us a key for steam for free.

Steam offers this ability for the majority of recent and major PC games bought outside of their store. I'd like to request this to be made available for PC versions of FFXIV.

I already own FFXIV on PC. It's unethical to purchase another copy for the same platform. Mog Station will only recognize one copy on my service account anyway for PC. I have no intention to play two characters at once via two simultaneous paid subscriptions.

'Unethical'?

Ethics don't come into it, you want to use a service and that service requires a 'fee'.

There's no fee to do just what I mentioned with other games I physically own and then registered on steam. What you posted is simply another way of looking at buying it again.

Final Fantasy XIV doesn't have a forum page link on it's store page, so I'm not sure it has one. I don't think there's any point posting anywhere else on steam anyway as this is a per developer kind of issue.

It seem like there not going to give us keys so we just have to deal with that fact. So ya sorry ;( noting can be done to SE change there mind and make a deal with steam about it.

I know SE said something like it cost steam when you download FFXIV so i guess that one of the issue.

Do you have a source or link for that info by any chance? If there's any more info it'd be nice to know.

Simply put, as it was not a Steamworks title upon release, cd keys released prior to it's implementation will not work, and it's likely they will not give out free cd keys to those affected, as there's too much risk of those keys being passed on to mates or sold elsewhere online.
