Turning off flying text of others, is there a waY?

I like seeing flyinh/scrolling text for my own character as well as effects/damage put on other characers/targets by myself. But is there a way to leave that on while turning of the flying/scrolling text of others? If healer's putting regen on me thats all fine and dandy to see, but I don't need to tsee that he's putting regen on someone else, or that the monk is going through all his stances, or the blm is putting out X amount of damage. its more information then needed.

if there isn't a way to turn these off, like how they added they ability to turn all dots on targets other then your own, it should really be added.

There is [/I]one[/I] way via the character settings menu.
But sadly, that disables all flying text.
In the future, I would really like to see an option like to switch others/npcs/yours flying text off, just so it clears more room and gives a better indication of your damage. Because I don't like to see flying numbers everywhere :D

Agree flying text needs to be customized.

Agreed wholeheartedly about monk stances and others' damage. Considering that it's virtually impossible to discern which damage comes from who, the ability to see others' damage should just be removed entirely

When doing FATE this becomes even more annoying, specially when you have 30+ players around the FATE's target.
Instead of a single ON/OFF setting, this should be:

- Off
Turn off that option entirely

- Self
We check our character's surroundings all the time to avoid attacks, so it's useful to see that information "flying" on your character.

- Party (this should be the default option)
Usually not so useful for me, but I often check my Chocobo's "Choco Surge" using the flying text, and it's also good to see how much EXP he earned. It's also useful to check if someone is on Regen and stuff.

And with the right-sized hammer too!

I would love to have such an Option. T6 is driving me nuts with all the flying texts from the Fairy lol. It is just very disturbing if you have to be concentrated on Game mechanics while you stand very close together as a group. I have disabled Group effects and use Initials instead of full names but it is still crowded.

That's a great idea. As long as I can see buffs/debuffs on anyone I don't care about flying text, it just clutters the screen. Especially with jobs like monk who seems to have plenty of it...
