When you first get your companion chocobo, it comes with Grand Company-issue barding. Is this the same barding you can buy for 6000 seals, or is that a different set of barding with the same name?

The barding is cosmetic the ones you can buy are just different looks and also apply to getting the achievement for having all the Company barding choices.

Of course, that also means the starter barding for the other two Grand Companies is unavailable, which is unfortunate. I hope the initial barding is made available for purchase in the future, not to mention higher ranks than Second Serpent Lieutenant.Quote:
