Gold Saucer: Still a thing on patch 2.3?

According to Yoshida, the development team was tasked with creating at least three minigame attractions for this version of the Gold Saucer. +info related.

What could be Gold Saucer in terms of FFXIV? A new fully zone? Perhaps an instanced area where we have to go through a special vehicle, just like in FF7? The best place to allow GS would be in Ul'dah.

-Card Game: Could be something like Triple Triad? Don't think that it will be as complex as Triple Triad was, but would be nice to collect cards.

-Race game: It's kinda obvious that would be a chocobo racing (which else could it be?). Would be nice if is more complex/depth than minigame allowed on FF7 Gold Saucer.

-Snowboarding game: WoW, Just WOW. Just want to see a Lalafell on a table!

A theme park inside a theme park game lol! Since last Christmas we don't heard anymore. I hope 2.3 patch continue being the date for Gold Saucer.

So far we know all from 2.2, in terms on content. They promise Gold Saucer for 2.3, so start to release some shots ffs! :D

We only of first half of 2.2 -.- there is still the second part live letter soon.

They showed all the major content for 2.2 already, sorry if you are expecting something else, you'll be very disappointed. Second half might be trailers, leviathan battle and minor tweaks as 2.1 letter was. Now please, go and never return to this post if you don't want to talk about Gold Saucer, you'r being rude for no reason.

You say that, but Yoshida stated frequently that "<Insert Topic Here> will be discussed at a later time." and that there would be much more in the second half. So... I believe that there's still more in store for 2.2.

ANYWAY, BACK ON TOPIC!

The feel I get from FFXIV's Golden Saucer would be that it's a casino, plain and simple. That'd mean:
Card Game: There's no way Triple Triad or Tetra Master would be the card game of choice, as both are collectible card games that have no place in a casino setting. They'll either put in well-known real-life card games (Hold 'em Poker, Blackjack, Baccarat, etc.) or add in card games exclusive to Final Fantasy (Chronobind or another made-up card game that uses a standard deck of playing cards).

Race Game: I have a theory chocobo racing of any kind will either be "bets only" or completely excluded until patch 2.4, when the Chocobo Stables will be released. Having actual chocobo racing at this stage where every chocobo is literally the same just seems silly and pointless.

Snowboarding: This was mentioned and I am interested in seeing how it develops.

Why not just buy these games for cheap or play them online?

Not sure why but when I think about Gold Saucer in Eorzea I imagine it in the Sagolii Desert.

Anyhow in terms of games, it will be interesting to see what we get. We know Chocobo Racing will be in almost one hundred percent, but everything else is up for debate. I'm sure they'll look to give us some of the more old school mini games, with a mixture of new stuff.

Of course as OP stated, there hasn't been any recent news. So who knows if Gold Saucer is even still planned. I certainly hope so!

Honestly, if they do card stuff hopefully it's like FFXI's Tetra Master, where you can buy/sell/trade cards and the like to stimulate the economy.

I'd like this as long as the card game is strictly a side quest, no links to the story or actual progress of the game. As I'm sure they'd have cards drop from enemies which some may find harder to obtain than others (Titan.)
