Hybrid Role Questions and Answers

Can we get more answers regarding Hybrid Role which was in the Famitsu Interview?

" Yes, we want to make sure that there is space in the party for at least two people of each role. 4-6 players is a number which has been used frequently in recent MMOs, but I stuck with the figure of eight people since back in the design stage for the aforementioned reasons. You can have two each of healer and tank and four DPS in the present situation. Once we add the hybrid role (which serves multiple roles), you'll be able to have two players from each role, for a total of 8 people."

Will bard be changed to Hybrid?
What is the Next Hybrid Role being planned?

What types of Hybrids would there be? DPS/TANK? TANK/Healer? Healer/DPS?

It seems like it is very far away, can we get a timeline as it might change how the game is played entirely.

I think we need more answers if anyone else has any information or any news can you post it here? Or show me a thread that discusses this.

Hybrids in this game are basically simple 1 of the 3 trinity but with Support skills that benefits the party.

Bard is DD but he get all DD skills from Archer while having Support skills from bard Skills.

the offspring of two plants or animals of different species or varieties, such as a mule (a hybrid of a donkey and a horse).

adjective: hybrid

of mixed character; composed of mixed parts.

I don't think that you can safely define Hybrid inside of this game when there are currently no Hybrid characters or clear communications regarding what a Hybrid will be. A BRD is clearly defined as a DPS, currently.

Ugh that's why this post is regarding the Famitsu interview, where yoshi stated the game will have Hybrid classes to have 2 tanks 2 healers 2 dps and 2 hybrids.

Currently, that's why I was posting this to see if anyone knew anything new was out there.

Until SE comes out and proves otherwise, the bolded part is a mistranslation. The sentence started with もし and the phrase involving adding hybrids ended with したら, which is a long way of saying "if". As in "If we were to add the hybrid role" instead of "Once we add the hybrid role".

Not to mentiont that would screw over group compositions in such a way that it would get ridiculous.
