Change Ct Immediately

Crystal Tower is a fun raid in which you can earn 200 tomes of phil and 50 myth tomes. This is fine. I propose that CT be changed to limit 1 item per class per week and 450 myth per class per week. I would like to play all classes but at one item per week with 8 classes would take over 80 weeks, or roughly a year and a half. By that time the gear will be useless as there will be new teirs. Please change Crystal Tower immediately. Sure I could have 8 different charecters, and so could my friends. That would be really hard to keep up with though. I have a hard time remembering all the friends I have. To multiply that by 8 would be insane.

I don't think the intent was to gear all your characters in CT loot. Filler pieces are good, maybe you want for vanity slots?

You are correct i would rather have the item level 90 gear which can be purchased with tomes of myth. In order to do this I farm CT for myth, which I max out every Monday. This leaves me bored the rest of the week, and. I am still looking at over 80 weeks to gear all classes. If i had 8 different toons I could achieve this goal in 10 weeks. So I am still faced with a dilema of only 450 tomes of myth per charecter per week, and 8 separate classes to gear.

Myth tomes are just fine where they're at IMO.

Though I would be ok with allowing 1 need roll and 1 greed roll per week. So you could Need for your primary class and have a choice for a greed roll on a secondary class or just try for another piece from your main class.

If you think you're bored now, what happenes when you gear all 8 of your classes in i80/i90 within 4 weeks, what then.

You can run coil too for i90 pieces. The game is meant to be played over years, not weeks or months.

The idea is to put your jobs in darklight and then do ct and coil once a week while collecting myth. You could actually get your ct gear for one job, put your myth towards another job, and do coil for another job. You just got gear for 3 or more jobs in one week! Not to mention all the darklight your be swimming in!

As long as the rng were not to harsh on you it wouldn't take very long since some of the coil gear is interchangeable between jobs like smn and blm, the tanks, healers.

I'm not really seeing your complaint.

What would keep a player interested for years if there isn't a continual progression? If the game never changes and always remains the same there will be many people who play for a few months and then become bored with the game and cancel subscription. This has happened to many other mmo's. It is replies like the last two I got that seriously make me want to cancel my subscription. There is no need to be smug in replies.

Don't forget the EX Primals as well for your accessories. There's no cap to those just RNG love::hate so you can save your Myth for getting the spots that coil/CT isn't filling each week.

Except its been out officially, for what, 4 months? There has only been one major patch, and the next one is around the corner. Seems like SE doing an OK job at adding new content. Pinworms' suggestion is good, though I could only add that maybe you should focus on one or 2 jobs. Gearing one class in complete CT (particularly tank, and maybe DPS) you will not have enough accuracy for coil. So it would kind of be a waste to completely gear a tank that you can't run in some content. I think some people had said the same thing about Allagan loot from coil, they couldn't wear it in coil because of accuracy. Obviously whatever content you are running will dictate, but the best gear sets are mixed pieces of myth/allagan/ct.
