Crystal Tower Disconnection and being booted from the Party needs to be changed DEV!

OK so last week I was doing Crystal Tower and I got a 90k and I thought that the party had vote kicked me out. I made a thread about it. I was just doing a CT run with my Wife in the same party and I got disconnected (Playing on PS3 and it Froze up so had to turn it off/on) well maybe 3mins tops and I was kicked out and I was in the process of getting back on. My wife said there was no vote kick to replace may and we were in the middle of a boss fight.


This is ridiculous I spend 20-30mins+ to get into Crystal Tower (any Duty on DPS) go in and DC/90k and get booted by the system not the players which I had thought it was last week.

This needs to be changed, I'm guessing the time for Auto-Kick is 3mins? Please Change this to 5-6mins.

Seen it change it please. Not fair to others that do not DC intentionally.

This happened to someone in my guild several times last week. :-\ We didn't want to kick her, much less get a random in our pre-made group. I would prefer that they just do not enforce the auto-kick in pre-made groups.

The smarter design choice would've been to have no autokick whatsoever and have no limits to how often players can boot from their parties, because then the players decide when they should or shouldn't drop a member, but apparently SE thinks "enforced" niceness that just inconveniences everyone is the solution.

(and the funny thing is that their "enforced" niceness just makes it easier for people to grief, because someone looking to troll can just shop around until they find a group that's wasted their kick)

While you are right there should be no autokick, Having no limit on the amount of times a party can Vote Kick is just asking for people to get trolled.

But something needs to be changed. Cause now I've been in Queue for 50:03sec

This would be horribly abused. There is a very good reason you can't vote kick repeatedly.

I do agree with the OP though. The timer seems a bit short.

Votekicks require the majority of the group to grief players, while a locked booting system still allows a single player to annoy an entire group. Are you more worried about premade groups of 3 or 7 queuing up just to annoy you, or are you more concerned that maybe a single bored loser is feeling like ruining your play tonight (by the way, if there was an organized group out just to grief players do you really think booting you is the only way they can do it)? You can't have a perfect system but the limited booted system gives you the worst of both- you'll have people booting you because they deem you a pleb, and then when you actually need it it won't be available to you.

There are other solutions but the one SE chose is probably the worst I've ever seen implemented.
