Dear SE,
Please change the way CT does loot. While I understand the need for a loot lock-out, the way it is implemented can be improved. Currently once one get a loot for a week (regardless of need/greed/accident), he/she no longer is able to get any more items.
While this supposedly allows for a more even distribution and helps to stop grind. It also has some noticeable side-effects.
1. Wasted Loot
Since people can only get a loot a week, everybody is very careful to pass on loot that is not their primary requirement or must pass if they already have their gear for the week. It is very discouraging to see gear go to waste especially if it is a gear that you want and not one else wants, but you can not accept due to lock out.
2. People not staying in or helping with CT Party
With the one loot a week policy, people that have gotten their loot have little reason to stay and seriously many many reasons to leave. Few can be buggers am leave during CT, and that is really wrong.
But most will leave once CT ended and they got their loot. This makes it difficult and hard to keep on finding members to run CT. Unless they are you FC and are more willing to stay. Even then, most will not really want to, due to long CT time and being trolled when they see loot they want being "unable to be obtained".
Also in all seriousness, how often does one respond to a CT party help request, when you already got your CT weekly and you know CT is going to take about an hour or even longer. Seriously puts a damper on helping.
3. Troll &/or BAD parties
Most of the time, due to the above factors, people will do CT in pugs. And serious (not SE fault) but thanks to the drop in maturity level overall when the internet is concerned and this new more "me me me" age, you have more trolls. Trolls that leave party once they get loot, that join CT to do stupid thing or just need to make other people's life harder to get a kick. Seriously they are m.r.ns but well they are always there....
Also BAD players otherwise known as super casual or just clueless, etc. No matter how you put it, they are there and they always make your life just that much more interested. Also makes your dungeons longer. For the life of me, I no understand how people can play a class so long and be BAD at it. But then I am hardcore in gameplay, so it is painful to watch and play with.
Issue Conclusion / Plead for change
So seriously we need some way to get people (especially our FC and friends) to play CT more...... Thus as so so many proposed. Please change the loot system. As many have proposed, please change it to a 1 NEED a week, or 1 NEED and 1 GREED or 1 NEED and X number of GREEDs a week.
This way, people that really need the gear will still get it and others can fight for it as and when it is not their primary requirement but will help them. Please please SE please change the system thanks. This is not a Primal that is like 15 minutes or less to farm. In which 1 loot a week is not to painful. This is a 1~2 hour dungeon in a 24 man raid that people will try not to do once they got their loot for a week.

This is why I have only ever done it once. Had one party who could not do anything without the other two party's helping them. Then had one guy leave after they got their drop. CT needs some major adjustment.

Instance with i80 gear but half the drops hit the floor because ppl don't want to use up their lock out

I don't know how they would fix it, but I have an idea:
- Have Crystal Tower tokens that work the same as Tomestones of Mythology; with a weekly cap.
- Have each boss in the Crystal Tower drop a certain amount of tokens.
- Have a vendor in Mor Dhona where you can purchase Crystal Tower gear with said tokens.
This will stop people leaving early and will still reward you for each kill. You could have each boss drop more tokens than the last. It would also encourage people to go there more than once, if they haven't already hit their weekly cap.
Edit; Oh, on top of all of that. Please make commendations alliance wide to encourage better behavour and make it possible to form our own alliances. -

Unlike most of the people on this forum, who seem to believe that SE copied World of Warcraft too much, I believe that they did not copy it enough.
Labyrinth of the Ancients and Crystal Tower are effectively LFR. If you're going to copy LFR, copy it correctly.
- One piece, per boss, per week.
- A "hard mode" version of LotA/CT. Cannot queue, can only enter as a full alliance of 24 players, with more difficult bosses with more challenging mechanics that drop item level 90 versions of the same gear, the same itemization, just cranked up.
- Variety in itemization: have each body and head piece grant a boost to a specific skill (i.e. flat 5% damage increase on Fire III, 5% more absorption on Adloquium shields, etc). Right now gear itemization is pretty bland. Make us have to make hard choices as to what's better instead of just stacking accuracy/crit/determination. -

The 8 man BcoB is already annoying and time consuming and troublesome to setup. I do not want to ever do 24 man static raids again that you need to setup yourself. Just need 1 person to be late or get annoyed or get pissed or rage quite and whole thing burns. Please never again.
Have really bad experiences with 24 man raids.
