Jobs and States
As of now it should be basic knowledge that each Job originates from a city state both current and ancient.
So when new Jobs become released what City State do you think they will be from?
So far we have..
Paladin - Uldah
Warrior - Abalatha
Monk - Ala Mhigo
Dragoon - Ishgard
Bard - Eld
White Mage - Gridania
Black Mage - *Unknown* (It is mentioned Black Mage Society originated from a Ancient State but the name is not mentioned due to most history of Black Mages being erased)
Summoner - Allagan
Scholar - Nym

Actually, this is not a city at all - 'eld' is in fact an archaic way of writing the word 'old', so hence the quote on the FFXIV website about BRDs being 'minstrels of eld', is in fact really saying 'minstrels of old', and just refers to them in a past tense. ;) A lot of such old English phrases and spellings in the game are confusing players (I mean, how many people keep getting caught out on 'must needs' all the time? ;)).
As for the actual thread topic, I think a few new Jobs would be probably more featuring nations outside Eorzea as their source/origins, as it would be a convenient way of explaining how a new Job suddenly appears in Eorzea which has never been mentioned or seen before - it can simply be handwaved away that the Garlean Empire suppressed such Jobs in their homelands and thus with recent events, knowledge of them has started to trickle out into Eorzea into the hands of a new generation, or something. ;)

However, there are still a few city states we know about but do not have a Job originating from them yet such as...
Sharlayan - the City State where the Circle of Knowing is located. Majority of the people worship the Thaliak the Scholar so a new Mage Job is most likely going to be linked to this place.
Sil'dih - near Ul'dah and currently a Ancient State since it is now in ruin. Zombies in Ul'dah area originated from there so the place would suit a Job that as a dark theme like Dark Knight or Necromancer.
Radz-at-Han - a City State not located on the Map of Eorzea but is known to exists near since it is on the other side of the Jade Sea. What type of theme this place has is unknown but since the Jade Sea is a given we may see Ninja or Thief being originating from this city state since Radz-at-Han could be a Chinese, Japanese, or both themed City State.
