Fix for tri-disaster

So I was thinking today, now with 2.1 we get blizzard 2 which is an aoe bind + dmg. Why do we need tri-disaster as another aoe bind + dmg. It's a terrible skill that no one uses and it hit me...

Option 1
Tri-Disaster
Consumes Bio, Bio II, and Miasma from selected target and deals unaspected damage with a potency of 70 to all enemies in targeted circle.

Option 2
Consumes 3 stacks of aetherflow and deals unaspected damage with a potency of 300 to all enemies in targeted circle


Obviously potency would have to be tested. Using option 1 would have to be lower cause we could use it more often and would either need to reapply the dots to the target or bane them from another over. If SE used option 2 the damage could be high because it sucks all our aetherflow leaving us stuck for a minute without being able to drain, bane or fester. I think it makes the skill useful, I don't think it's OP at all, gives us a little aoe burst which we don't have and removes having 2 aoe skills that cause bind which is stupid. It's bad enough we now have 2 skills, miasma 2 and blizzard 2 in which we have to risk being killed to use.

Thoughts?

Summoner don't need more damage, and actually if you really want to bind things you're most likely gonna use Tri-Disaster over Blizzard II. While I would like tri-disaster to have a different effect based off what egi is out, this isn't it.

Tri-Disaster is going to be more of a PVP action if you compare it to Blizzard II. Tri-Disaster can be used with Swiftcast to bind mobs or players to run away, so can Blizzard II (and won't require a target to do so but will only work in melee range). Basically Blizzard II > Tri-Disaster but Tri-Disaster is more safe to use and depending on the situation has potential to land on more targets as you generally wouldn't run into the epicenter of danger in order to thwart it.

Still don't see the point. Zero reason for 2 skills with aoe bind, and 2 skills that are melee range only on a caster class

actually, I'd really really really want more pet interaction with it. Being a Summoner ability, i'd make much more sense if Tri-Disaster would actually change according to your current summoned egi.

Default Tri-Disaster: Deals 30potency like it does now with the bind effect. That way you'll have the means to resummon in tight situations where your pet's gone.

Garuda - caster type - looking at her Enkindle, she deals a lot more burst damage than the others, maybe even include a aoe-pushback considering her strong wind effects
Deals 60 potency of WIND aoe damage and pushes targets away.

Titan - tank type - his synergy would probably affect some kind of status debuff.
Deals 20 potency of Earth aoe Damage and reduces enemies Damage dealt by 5% for 5seconds

Ifrit - melee type - he could add some nice dot type effect like his Enkindle or even empower them
Deals 30 potency of Fire aoe Damage and doubles the potency of your next 2 DoT ticks.


But it looks like the designers of the Summoner just likes to keep this attack uninteresting (or the whole class itself)

Ignore the bind on B2 and realize it is a broad improvement to our AoE DPS potential.

I agree with T0rin. Also, how can you look at Blizzard II as a justifiable bind? It's a 4 sec duration lol Tri-Disaster is 5x as long with 20seconds, which makes it extremely useful due to the fact that putting one or more enemies out of commission for 20seconds can make or break an encounter, depending on the content. I've always looked at it as an AoE Sleep with a slightly shorter duration that deals damage lol

Stop trying to RUIN my Tri-Disaster! Summoner has a ton of ways to dish out damage already.
I like having a CC component to the class with Masmia II and Disaster and Bliz! If anything they
could add skills but I wouldn't want them to change our current toolkit.
