"OMG RAID LOCKOUTS THIS IS SO HORRIBLE."
Raid lockouts have been a staple in a lot of MMOs for...What is it, like, 10 years now? This is nothing new. A lot of them are implemented to not only, as most cynics put it, artificially inflate subscription times, but also to stop people from repeatedly bumrushing the content until they're fully geared out in a week and then stop playing for two months.
"OMG YOU NERFED MY JOB HOW COULD YOU."
I've seen a lot...and I mean, a lot of people saying how they don't even want to play because their job got nerfed so horribly. I think most of the math I've seen is most of the nerfed classes work out to a 7-9% decrease in effectiveness, if that. That's really not that much, to begin with, and, well, this is an MMO. Nerfs happen. Frequently, even. I've never actually played an MMO where a class/job/what have you wasn't nerfed at one point or another.
I don't get it. People talk about how they've been playing MMO's for years - and then they turn right around and act like they've never been exposed to one before. Raid lockouts are standard - a bit clunky, with FF14's multiclass system, I admit, and would like to see them altered, though not removed - and so are classes getting nerfed.
Everyone take a deep breath. These things happen. The world will not end. Your class will still be able to do Coil. Everyone will not spontaneously loathe your existence.
It'll be okay. Promise.
P.S. Housing prices are still BS. <3
