    I don't get it.

"OMG RAID LOCKOUTS THIS IS SO HORRIBLE."

Raid lockouts have been a staple in a lot of MMOs for...What is it, like, 10 years now? This is nothing new. A lot of them are implemented to not only, as most cynics put it, artificially inflate subscription times, but also to stop people from repeatedly bumrushing the content until they're fully geared out in a week and then stop playing for two months.

"OMG YOU NERFED MY JOB HOW COULD YOU."

I've seen a lot...and I mean, a lot of people saying how they don't even want to play because their job got nerfed so horribly. I think most of the math I've seen is most of the nerfed classes work out to a 7-9% decrease in effectiveness, if that. That's really not that much, to begin with, and, well, this is an MMO. Nerfs happen. Frequently, even. I've never actually played an MMO where a class/job/what have you wasn't nerfed at one point or another.

I don't get it. People talk about how they've been playing MMO's for years - and then they turn right around and act like they've never been exposed to one before. Raid lockouts are standard - a bit clunky, with FF14's multiclass system, I admit, and would like to see them altered, though not removed - and so are classes getting nerfed.

Everyone take a deep breath. These things happen. The world will not end. Your class will still be able to do Coil. Everyone will not spontaneously loathe your existence.

    It'll be okay. Promise.

P.S. Housing prices are still BS. <3

The loud and whiny vocal minority are notorious for flipping tables over stuff the sane part of the player base expects and adapts to.

While it does suck to outright lose a good ability, I somehow don't think it's going to be the end-all cataclysm of the job that most summoners are making it out to be.

    People are really overreacting. :x

i agree because it's archaic and has been a standard from MMOs of years past that they should totally keep it the way it is regardless of the unique job/class system they have for this game.

Drama queens. Every class will have it's time to shine and fall In ANY game. No game out there hasn't completely revamped or done nerf changes to class in order to try achieve a somewhat balance system (which will never exist). People who can't get with this fact need to lift up their right hand and swing it swiftly across their right cheek.

It's almost like going against nature. You can't keep forever buffing a class because you reach a certain point where you're just face rolling all content. Thus the reason why it's called a balance.

    OP's logic:
Lockouts aren't new so get over it.

    My response:
Totalitarian governments, torture, thievery and murder aren't new, so get over it.

Same school of thought, equally idiotic and short-sighted.

For WHM's, it's closer to 17% against both single and multiple target scenarios with both a nerf to Holy and the removal of Thunder, as well as a reduction in their spike healing capability with the removal of the Overcure proc, and halving of Medica II's HoT effect. That is NOT small, that's a triple nerf, all of it unjustified.

All of this is likely due to a combination of people whining on forums about how WHM's are the better AoE healer than SCH's, and for PvP because, y'know, people who enjoy PvE and not PvP also really enjoy having their PvE powers nerfed to suit PvP.
